Flipping cities (even capitals) is in. Stealing Techs. Taking down Satellites.
They didn't show the bombs or Siege Worms, but they're in too.
Some defensive Satellites that remove built-up intrigue. One kicks out all the agents and puts intrigue in the city to 0. The other reduces intrigue by 50%.
Agents can be in the field or at Headquarters. They provide (small) economic bonuses at Headquarters, or can affect success rates (both success of the mission, and what happens to the Agent) for field ops.
Overall it looks like a very big part of the game.
