TurnCast Episode 05: "Stuck in the Groove"

Worth repeating. Daniel "DanQ" Quick is accompanied by Michael "emeseles" Lucas-Smith, Makahlua and Philip "TheMeInTeam" Bellew as regular players on TurnCast (TC) focusing on co-operative multiplayer experiences in Civilization IV/V. Its fourth episode, "Stuck in the Groove", is now netcasting with a runtime of 09m59s.

TurnCast is the third spin-off of the Civ strategy-centric PolyCast on which Quick, Makahlua and Bellew serve as regular co-hosts; the modding-centric ModCast was the first, and the console-centric RevCast the second, such spin-off.

  Does anyone actually listen to these? I've looked back at the older threads and no one ever comments. So either no one listens to them, or the conversation is so dull that there is nothing to comment on?

  According to download statistics to which I have access they are listened to, yes; admittedly there has been no discussion on them here on Poly, but there has been some albeit limited on CFC. There are typically no comments on threads here announcing releases for sibling shows PolyCast, ModCast and RevCast too, but some-to-considerable on other sites.
  
  It's true that all three of those are more popular than this, but that was/is expected as this series is particularly niche in my view... as if our others focusing on one gaming series as well wasn't enough!

Civilized Communication: PolyCast, One More Turn in 2016

In 2016 under the Civilized Communication banner, Civilization fans can look forward to the ongoing production of three podcasts. More Civ co-operative multiplay is to be had in the sixth season of TurnCast, further exploration of modding in the series on the eighth season of ModCast and greater Civ strategy conversations on the landmark tenth season of PolyCast. Episodes of the latter most are to continue to be recorded live every other Saturday starting at 12PM ET (North America), starting January 9th (timezone converter).

Meanwhile, efforts to restart the Civ social SCivCast to now focus on the recently released Civilization Online will be ongoing having begun at the end of last year. Elsewise, the dramedy series One More Turn is to record and release its fourth season, the thirteen episodes of which are currently being written. Before that the third season blooper reel and commentary is to be released by January's end.

Recurring updates on the above efforts are to be summarized in follow-up posts throughout the calendar year. Keep on Civ'in, laughing and living....

PolyCast Episode 244: "Not Just a Lame Clip Show XVII"

Winter welcome. The two-hundred-and-forty-forth episode of PolyCast, "Not Just a Lame Clip Show XVII", features regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick, "Makahlua", Philip "TheMeInTeam" Bellew and "MadDjinn" with then first-time guest co-host Lotfi "ZTZaorish" Kerzabi in the seventeenth compilation of segments archived from previous episode recordings and not released previously. Its 59m59s runtime is extended coverage of a broad topic: the response to a detailed outline for designing a Civilization VI with an empire management design philosophy is just as comprehensive (recorded for Episode 237).

Recording live every other Saturday, PolyCast is a bi-weekly audio production in an ongoing effort to give the Civ community an interactive voice on game strategy; sibling show RevCast focuses on Civilization: Revolution, ModCast on Civ modding, SCivCast on Civ social gaming and TurnCast on Civ multiplay. Concluding PolyCast's ninth season, another compilation is to be published on January 9th as its Season 10 premiere... right after the live recording of its next episode.

One More Turn Episode 313: "Another Turn"

The more things change, the more they stay the same until that moment that reverberates. The thirteenth and final episode of dramedy podcast One More Turn's (OMT) third season is now available. Entitled "Another Turn", it has a runtime of 08m10s. A story set in the near future, OMT features geeks deal with non-geeky problems. One can follow the show on Twitter and check out its YouTube channel for caption capability.

OMT features the voice talents of Civilization strategy-centric podcast PolyCast regular co-hosts Daniel "DanQ" Quick and Stephanie "Makahlua" among others; Quick is also the show's writer and creator. Selections of American music and soundtrack composer Kevin MacLeod's work is included throughout the series. Next on the show's release schedule is its Season 3 Blooper Reel set for January 20th, 2016....
