  • Um...Lewis is going to be back this week. He's "Probable" for the game. And with Lewis, Baltimore is better than Denver or the Jets.

    • Jamal Lewis has a sprained ankle and will probably play in their next game.

If it is Pittsbugh vs. Philly, the edge has to go to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh's players win the match up against Philly.

        Ah, that I didn't know.

Ideally this would be the case. But if they do make it out, they won't be in an ideal state.

It's the same reason Tampa Bay won the Cup in hockey this year. All the Western Conference teams pummelled each other to pieces.

          • Well that and the fact that they were a better team than Calgary .

              1 Pittsburgh
              2 New England
              3 Indianapolis
              4 San Diego
              5 Denver
              6 NY Jets

              NFC

              1 Philadelphia
              2 Atlanta
              3 Green Bay
              4 Seattle
              5 Minnesota
              6 Carolina
Carolina is 4-7. They could make the playoffs at 8-8, but I see them going 7-9 at best.

              • Saints
                Rams
                Falcons
                Buccaneers
                Saints

I see a loss against Atlanta, and going 4-1 for an 8-8 record.

                Giants:

                Redskins
                Ravens
                Steelers
                Bengals
                Cowboys

Now, supposing they win against the Redskins, Cowboys and Bengals, they will only be 8-8, tied with Carolina, and losing the tiebreakers, because Carolina has a better record against the NFC.

                Rams:

                49ers
                Panthers
                Cardinals
                Eagles
                Jets

3 losses, they aren't going to reach 8-8

I like Jaguar's predictions (especially Steelers win Superbowl - that would finally give them one for the thumb). I question St. Louis and New York (G) because they suck, but then the rest of the NFC sucks too.
St. Louis will win their division. The Seahawks won't even be close by the season's end. Their schedule was incredibly easy, and they could only pull of a 5-6 record. StL has beat them twice in a convincing fashion when they've played head to head. Seattle has never beaten a team with a winning record this season. Never.

The New York Giants are actually an ok team, and Tiki Barber will ultimately propel them to a wildcard spot. They've beaten Green Bay and Minnesota, so I think they can probably beat the Cowboys, the Browns, and the Redskins, who are the remaining teams on their schedule.

Maybe these teams aren't great, but look who they're up against. The other contenders for the second wildcard spot are:

                  1. The Seahawks, who have yet to beat a better-than-average team. Their wins are over to San Francisco, Miami, New Orleans, Carolina, and Tampa Bay. The best of these teams, Carolina, is 4-7. When they face a mediocre team like the Bills, they get destroyed. Remaining on the Seahawk's schedule are games against the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, and Atlanta Falcons. As far as I'm concerned, that's three losses already. They'll be 7-9 without the tiebreaker against St Louis at the end of the season. And that's provided that they can beat the Cardinals and the Cowboys.

                  2. The Cowboys. They are 4-7 overall, and in the last eight games they are 2-6. Supposing that they pull themselves together and improve significantly, the best they can do is 8-8. They've got a game against the Eagles left. They also have to deal with the Giants again. I doubt they can win both of these games, especially given how they were trounced the last time they played each of these teams.

                  3. The Carolina Panthers. They are also 4-7. However, they have won three in a row recently. However, these wins have been against abysmal teams, such as San Francisco. They have an Atlanta game left, and a St. Louis game left.

IMO, it's perfectly reasonable to think that StL and NYG will make the playoffs, at 8-8 or 7-9.

                  • The chances for the Rams hinge on that Carolina game. If they win, they will likely win their division, as an 8-8 team.

Remember, the Seahawks are 6-5. That makes all the difference in the world. They can afford to lose 3 should the Rams also lose three.

                    • That ain't gonna happen. Seahawks are an absolutly worthless team, and they have no more games against Miami or San Francisco.

Name one good team that the Seahawks have defeated.

                            • They haven't, but they haven't played up to their potential, like the Rams haven't. They Giants were able to throw the ball in the beginning of the season, but now they can't for ****. Tiki can only do so much.
