what happens with the seeding if a wildcard team has a better record than a division winner?
The division winners get 1, 2, 3, 4. The wildcards get seeding 5, 6. Division winners are always seeded ahead.

I was on the West Coast. But really, I hated Elway because he always seemed to be able to beat Pittsburgh (where I gew up and the team I still root for). Funny enough, I can't remember any of Elway's receivers.

He might win a Super Bowl... but he'll lose one first. I guarantee it.
Staubach lost the first SB he was in... was he a choaker?

So you can't ever play at home unless you win your division?

I can't answer that question about Staubach - did he have a history of posting major stats, and then losing the biggest games in his career, especially when it was his first time playing at that level?

Oh, wait, you can if both WC teams win.

JohnT's feelings are colored by the fact that Georgia was Tennessee's beeyatch during the Peyton years.
So JohnT - how do you feel about Steve Spurrier?

Don't know about Staubach, but that describes Elway to a tee .

The Jets have to play the Steelers too. Plus Denver just lost to the Raiders.
I like Jaguar's predictions (especially Steelers win Superbowl - that would finally give them one for the thumb). I question St. Louis and New York (G) because they suck, but then the rest of the NFC sucks too.

True, but I think Denver is better than both the Jets and Ravens.
The Ravens without Jamal won't make the playoffs.

As good as Roethlisburger is, if Pittsburgh survives the AFC championship, they won't win the Superbowl over Philly.
That's the biggest advantage for the NFC Champion, is that they have a softer schedule in the playoffs compared to the AFC.
