AFC dominance
I read an article by Chris Collinsworth about this. He thinks that AFC dominance is caused by two factors. One being the recent past dominance of the Rams, and two being the salary caps. His theory is that the NFC teams spent their limited salaries on offensive players that demand higher salaries (in hopes of being able to outscore the Rams).
