A CBS poll showed Trump with a 17% lead in Utah a few days ago, but now a new Rasmussen poll came out showing a three way tie.

30% Trump, 28% Hillary, 29% McMullin (who??? Lol). Johnson doesn't really register. If Trump loses, its a few more electoral votes lost. Would be interesting to see McMillin win as Hillary doesn't need the state based on current projections. Hillary does have support in Salt Lake City... And if she pulls off an upset, it will be by a plurality. Crazy state.

In other words, it is Trump's to lose. Utah a swing state... Who would have thought. The polling data is pretty wild though. I think McMullin is gaining more than previously thought.

so julian assange's internet was cut off today by a 'state actor', which has sparked all kinds of rumours about what might be happening with him. funnily enough all this occurred after he started releasing emails exposing hillary clinton's and the democratic party's shady dealings.

It's rather unnerving how tensions with Russia keep ratcheting up, to so little attention. The dirt on Hillary has a rather low signal-noise ratio, and certainly doesn't warrant this level of chest-thumping with a nuclear power.

yeah, yemen is a rather complicated story. i think i wrote a lengthy post about it some time ago. iran has very little to do with it, btw (in reality, i mean - it's crucial to the propaganda effort).

BK's Catholic Spring quote is from a leaked e-mail from a liberal Jewish Clinton staff member to John Podesta (who is at least nominally Catholic) circa 2011. Podesta replied that they'd started some Catholic social groups specifically to take advantage of opportunities to that general end, but that it hadn't panned out and nothing would likely come of it. Another leaked e-mail chain features some rather vicious comments on Catholicism from Clinton staff, but AFAIK Clinton herself hasn't been caught saying anything beyond "traditional religious attitudes regarding abortion, etc. need to change."

yes, indeed. some of the actions of the US administration are hard to fathom. i suppose some of it is just compensation for the continuing failure of american policy in syria, but it's very irresponsible in my view. foreign policy is actually the main reason for my backing trump. hillary is a proven warmonger and has called for a more 'muscular', i.e. interventionist, US policy in the middle east.
