So what a person believes has no bearing on their qualifications for president?
Because being president involves a lot more than believing in Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, and/or God?

You'll have to tell that to Obama.
Can you even get your story straight. First you say it's because she's a total hottie, then you say it's because I totally dig her positions.
What's next? Is it because I think the GOP can go all the way with her?

The president also serves as commander-in-chief. You'd have to be stupid to not see the advantage of having someone who served in the military in this capacity... he has a better understanding of how the military works, understands the capabilities and limits of the military, can relate to the troops on the ground, etc.
Military experience alone is not sufficient for a president but that, along with domestic experience, helps to make a good president.
Many of presidents have had no military experience (Jefferson, Adams, JQ Adams). Woodrow Wilson and FDR didn't have any military experience either, and they seemed to have done well for themselves, and during war time. Reagan served briefly in the military, and never saw anything approaching combat -heck, Al Gore had more combat experience than Reagan - not that republicans give that a second thought or view it as a positive for Reagan.
A good president is not defined by their past, but by the actions they take in office.

No but not being able to respect other points of view does.
And stop using big words, you are not a christian. You are a die hard fanatic incapable of reaching a sensible middle ground. You defy everything Christ stands for.

Oh really?
I guess if I go to hell for voting republican, that would really suck.

No, you won't go to hell as theirs no such thing. But you do put Republicans in office which is Hellish for the rest of us.

Look at Aggie's argument in the post directly above mine. Compare what I said. Get it?
And I actually ASKED to be on Aggie's ignore list, so as to avoid having him play the pompous philosopher card on me every time I say anything. So I'm really not all that pissy about it, despite what he says.
EDIT: Here, I'll copy and paste and walk you through it, to save you the trouble.
Agathon: This appointment is all about energizing the base – specifically the lonely loser conservative men who fantasize about women like Ann Coulter, Rachel Marsden, Michelle Malkin and those other *****es with the large breasts and short skirts who go around screeching about liberals.
I never said that any of the named slags had large breasts, nor does my sentence necessarily imply it. "Those other" can suggest another set of women who have large breasts in addition to the named women (who don't), or "other women who like the named women have large breasts".
Elok: We're lucky we have Agathon and other people who rape infants around to teach us the proper use of the English language.
See, if you have a proper understanding of Agathonian grammar, you know that my "people who rape infants" clause did not necessarily imply that Agathon rapes infants himself. Just that unnamed other people, who also tell us how to speak English, do. It's all a matter of parsing English correctly. You obviously were deliberately ignoring the rules when you thought I was suggesting Aggie is a pederast.
There. Now that I've quite thoroughly killed the joke through excess explanation, do you get it?

I hear, whether right or wrong, I don't know, that Kay Bailey Hutchinson of Texas was approached, but that she has plans to run for governor of Texas.
This seems unlikely. Hutchinson is not a hard pro-lifer, and McCain needed one of those to shore up the GOP's conservative base.
