It's not "Do unto others as others do unto you", but "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you".

People don't "make" themselves Gay.
It isn't a choice.

I never said they don't have that right.

They could insist to their dying breath that Michael Jackson is our savior and they'd still be as pigheaded and ignorant as ever.

Fortunately, not all hope is lost, as we obviously have at least some compassionate, intelligent Christians on these boards which I adore. You know, if all (or even most) of the religious folk I met were like monolith, JM, SlowwHand, etc. -- I might actually take it seriously someday.

Anyway, under Christianity you can easily be against homosexuality without wishing people dead. It is a religion that believes in original sin and thus everyone has some sin. That doesn't mean the sinful are going to Hell. And look at monestaries. They have to refrain from all sexual contact (ideally).
