    God doesn't make mistakes. Period.
Who said He made a mistake?

EDIT: Let me clarify. We feel homosexuals need to try to overcome their 'tendencies'. But, as they do that (and don't act upon them), we don't scream fire and brimstone at them.

Part of living in a pluralistic society is that we have to put up with people and things we don't like. Some of the religious people hate gays - no matter, they still have to put up with you.
Thank you for your stunning insight, as usual.

It's their life, not yours, so stay out of it.

      • Stop calling out for them to repent
      • Stop passing laws to enforce your narrowly moral and bigoted viewpoints

...You'd start to wish you guys followed the Golden Rule.

It is no more possible for me to "change my preferences" to be straight than it is to change yours to be gay.

Not only is saying it's possible to change their preferences ridiculous, it's also very insulting. "They choose to live their life like that, they can change with the help of the Lord..."

The people who change through the help of the Lord force themselves into thinking they want a heterosexual relationship. They work fine for a bit, but then they divorce and now kids have a gay dad and wives are left hurting. It hurts more than helps when churches do that kind of crap.

Want first-hand knowledge of this on Apolyton? Talk to GayGamer, I can set you up with his AIM. He's a 40-something guy who finally admitted he can't pretend to be straight anymore. He's got kids...

So why are sins bad if God loves us anyway? Why would God not allow someone into heaven if he loves them?

I know you probably don't mean for it, Obiwan, but every post you and your type make like this one makes you look like a condescending ***** and preacher.
Has it ever occured to you that some Christians are offended by you blasting them and their God with statements like this: "...wishywashy Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, God crap." Is that what you call "living by the golden rule"?

I know quite a few gays btw who have left the so called gay lifestyle and never went back. Are you really qualified to read their minds and say that they are all faking it? Most of them are very grateful that someone cared enough to help them find the difference between lust and love. I don't claim to be able to read your mind so be what you are -- and let other's be what they are. That is called tolerance.

Just because you think the whole of society should be run exactly the way you want it, in line with your personal values.

Get real. These people aren't going away and neither are you.

You might complain that their ranting annoys you, but in my book you can just be thankful that people have generally agreed to ignore each others' foibles rather than solving them at the point of a gun. The mark of a successful society is that people don't vent their personal values on others at the point of a gun. Experience teaches us you can't hope for much better than that.

Yes, because I'm treating certain people how I was treated. Do you understand how the golden rule works?

No, but they're presumably bisexual or partly so because they would obviously have some attraction to the opposite sex.

Most of them are very grateful that someone cared enough to help them find the difference between lust and love.

          **** you.

No it hasn't because in his world, only what Asher finds offensive really matters.

Stop being a moron, of course they aren't going away and neither am I.

Who gave you the god-given right to ***** (ie, what you're doing now), but not me?

That doesn't even answer his question, Agathon. Try reading it.

No ****, Lincoln, but you implied that homosexuals are about lust and heterosexuals about love.

                      Hence, "**** you".

And if anyone mentions to Mr****ingFun that I'm standing up for Gays, two things will happen.

                        1) I'll denounce you as a liar
                        2) I'll kick your ass.

So you're saying I don't have a right to ***** about religious *******s writing **** like "Come, we need victims" on the GLASS posters on campus?

Or the nutcase screaming about how God have condemned homosexuals to hell on campus?

                          I have a right to *****, I have a right to vent.

It's YOU that needs to get over yourself and stop being a pathetic *******.

Well you misread my mind So you can apologize now... Lust effects everyone. We all have to deal with it.

I'm not apologizing for something blatantly obvious in your post.

Christians help convert "gays" into "straights".
Said people are "grateful that someone cared enough to help them find the difference between lust and love"

Are you seriously too dense to realize what you type?
