My guess is that Crabtree wanted Malcolm Jenkins but got persuaded to go w/ Crabtree instead because of the value of the pick.

According to the Dan Patrick show... Bears LB Brian Urlacher could be out for the season with a serious wrist injury. Apparently a text message from Brian Urlacher to one of his friends said, "season over." With Pisa Tinoisamoa also expected to be finished for the season, the Bears look to have lost two of their starting three LBs in one night.

If they're smart, they sign Derrick Brooks, a veteran in the Tampa-2 system who's lost a step but brings the necessary leadership. Bears D looked a bit lost and confused w/o Urlacher out there.
