Singletary didn't want Crabtree, it was McCloughan's call. He's a stupid-ass GM who should get fired. Crabtree raised a red flag before the draft already when the Browns indicated they weren't interested.
My guess is that Crabtree wanted Malcolm Jenkins but got persuaded to go w/ Crabtree instead because of the value of the pick.

If they're smart, they sign Derrick Brooks, a veteran in the Tampa-2 system who's lost a step but brings the necessary leadership. Bears D looked a bit lost and confused w/o Urlacher out there.
