  • Again there is no god, therefore no promise was ever made. I was dragged into it and didn't do anything willingly.

You don't want to make more of me huh? Maybe tell your church to stop lying people. That might help. But I am agnostic and never had any interest in the church.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

      • I don't want to make more rahs and Giancarlos.
Of course not, you want more bigots like yourself.

Only the church accepts 13 as the age of consent. Unless you're being diddled by a priest. The age for that is quite lower.
The state recognizes no contracts from those at that age.

        • I didn't make any promise to this fictional god you are talking about. You are about as bad as Kentonio.
If you were confirmed, you did and you are Catholic, and will always be Catholic.

Listen to me you little sadomasochistic freak, I am agnostic and I get to say what I am without you telling me otherwise. I am definitely not a Catholic and never will be one.
You are entitled to your own beliefs, but not your own facts. If you were baptized and confirmed in the Catholic church - you are and will always be Catholic.

You do not know my situation and you are in no position to say whether I had a choice or not. You ignorant little man! You don't know a ****ing thing about my circumstances.
Given as I teach more than 30 students a year - I would wager that yes, I understand your circumstances. You had piss poor catechesis that did not teach you about sacramentals. Sucks, but when you take that step to confirmation, you are making a promise for the rest of your life to God.

You are a horrid little man. You don't know anything about me. I never chose to be gay. You putrid disgusting man. You have no morality. You are just a hateful little bigot.
I wasn't referring to that, I was referring to how you chose to treat other people. You tell us now that you had a change of heart and that your beliefs from before were all the responsibility of the Catholic church, and not you. I don't believe that for a second, Gian. You chose to treat people that way.

So did I for that matter when I was on your side. I had to repent of all that.

Mhmm, you seem to think that I'm a rube and know nothing. You were not forced, and lying about that isn't going to help it. You might have felt compelled to do so, but if you had gone to the priest and said no, you would not have been confirmed.

And with this comment he has walked right off a cliff. Stop lying, Ben.
How many people do you believe died in the Inquisition, Giancarlo?

Uh, protestant churches that don't do infant baptism accept baptisms done at the same age. Jewish people do their bar mitzvahs then too.

Not if I refuse to recognize the authority of the Catholic church. The church has no authority over me. The whole thing was a sham and was not real.

You are a bigot and a lunatic. I am stating the facts. The baptism and confirmation were shams and none of that is real. It has no authority over my life. I am not a Catholic.

You are a horrible little bigot and if you hear voices in your head you need to see a psychologist. You don't know anything about me or my culture at all.

You are a wretched horrible human being and your heart is black. I was never a Catholic. I was forced into it. You cannot tell me otherwise.

You awful, awful man. Your hubris is showing.

You are an idiot if that is what you are getting at. I was forced into it. It was no choice.

Tens, if not hundreds of thousands.

The contracts aren't real nor are binding... So I am under zero obligation.

◦During the 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition, between 3,000-5,000 people were sentenced to death (about 1 per month).

No. I am agnostic and never was Catholic. I do not recognize the legitimacy of sacraments nor the church. They cannot force anything on me. But they sure like messing with little kids.

Crusades anyone? Inquisition resulted in far many more deaths than that make believe number.
