This does seem to be a violation of the equal protection clause (the bill).

I don't think a law like this would be passed that affected women, so I see a double standard. The other thing is what they really want is for men to be convicted criminally without being proven guilty (just for rape) making men second class citizens.
Anyway, as you can see they don't believe body language can give consent."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

it's worth thinking about what kind of cases this will be used in. if two people get together and have an enjoyable night of sex (or even a not very enjoyable but still consensual one), then no one is going to complain, even where no one has expressly said 'yes'. so in those cases body language will still count as consent. it seems clear that it's application is going to be in cases where either the woman clearly didn't want sex or where there's ambiguity about exactly what the situation was at the time. as i said, hopefully it will lead to people thinking more carefully about their sexual behaviour.I drank beer. This thread topic reminds me of a heated conversation some years ago online in a chatroom for gay men.
A few of them got around to talking about straight guys and how some of them can be seduced after a lot of drinks, and then one could have his way with him.
I called them out, saying that's not seduction; that is rape.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
