I was on vacation so I had to wait to see it. It did feel a bit like a season I episode. I really did start getting annoyed with the shameless V promoting. I can ignore the discreet abc logo since it's gray but the vibrant color V was really tacky. (and the countdown just made it worse.

Has Chuck been renewed? I've never seen Community and could give or take The Office. Yes, Chuck was renewed for a third season, which is currently airing on Monday nights--it is quite good.

I'm not sure about the trapped souls part. Other than the dead seen by Hurley, we can assume the others were all Smokey, which lends support to my theory that Lost is based on the last season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
