I was totally ready to come on here and ***** about the episode, but that scene with Richard, his wife and Hurley totally got me.

Now for some *****ing: I totally didn't buy the Black Rock ending up in the middle of the jungle because of a storm (even a storm strong enough to lift a boat to statue-head height).

Also, this episode reminded me. If the island protected Jack and even Michael off the island, why are so many names crossed off the candidate list? It seems fairly arbitrary who and when the island will give a damn about.

I was bugged by the fact that Jacob keeps bringing people to the island to prove to MIB that some people are incorruptible, but they never explained what would happen when it is proved to MIB that some people are incorruptible. Does he become non-evil incarnate.

I think it's been pretty clear shown that, while candidates can't kill themselves, they can be killed by others (if not directly by Smokey).

Yeah, I agree with you there. It would've made much more sense if the Island had been skipping and materialized under the ship.
