Depends on what you mean by classic. It isn't the best episode of Lost, probably not in my top five off the top of my head. I think a lot people where going to love any episode that told Richard's back story.

The only reason I ranked it high, (not the best) was because there was no future alt-universe to waste my time.
And yes I was dissapointed that it really gave us nothing really new that they hadn't already alluded to.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Did I miss it, or did Alternative Jin not look in a mirror? I saw Sun do it, but not Jin. If he didn't, I wonder if that means Sun is the candidate.
Jin popping Mikhail right in the eyeball? ****ing badass."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

Other than the Kate ep, none of this season has been bad, but this was par for the course.
Disagree. This episode had an actually interesting Sideways story (because we knew that Jin ended up being found in the fridge by Sayid, but we wanted to see how) and had on-Island action that featured almost every character. Plus, Sun got down to her bra, dude. And Jin looking at the pictures of Ji-Yeon on Sun's camera was just as touching as Richard's moment with his wife, the highlight of last week's episode. I think this was the third best episode of the season, after Locke and Ben's.
The only lame part was Sun running into a tree for no good reason and then suddenly being unable to speak English, but that was rescued somewhat by the fact that I think the loss of English ability will probably mean something later and the fact that the actress who plays Sun is a way more convincing actor in Korean. That Korean rant at Richard was awesome.KH FOR OWNER!

I think it was a bit of the Alternative world spilling over into the Island world; it appeared that Alternative Sun legitimately could not speak English.
Also, you are right, Sun in bra = awesome.
I think the premiere and Sawyer and Richard episodes were better than this; it was on par with Jack and Sayid, and clearly better than the Kate crapfest. (The Locke and Ben episodes, needless to say, are the cream of the crop.)
While I love Desmond, I do worry about bringing him back. It better be for a great reason, because his story appeared to be relatively tied up, and happily so, at the end of last season. The other question I have is just how much time has elapsed since Ben shot him. 316 took off the next day, right? Can't be more than a week has passed--how did he get Des out of the hospital? Whither Penny, Charlie, and Eloise?
Also--what will happen when (if) Des encounters Ben on Hyrda Island? Is Ben destined to suffer yet another curbstomping?"My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine
"The subject of onanism is inexhaustable." --Sigmund Freud

Jin and Sun's story was like a bad Korean drama. I couldn't help but think that was deliberate.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”

Let's count the people who have beaten the **** outta Ben:
First, Danielle shot him with a ****ing crossbow.
Then, Sayid tried to beat the truth out of him.
Ana Lucia took a turn at him as well.
I don't remember if Jack or Locke beat him when he was locked up in the armory too, but I think at least one of them did.
Then, Jack intentionally botched his spinal surgery.
Then, Jack beat the ever living **** out of him when heading for the radio antenna.
Then, Danielle knocked him out when he was tied to a tree.
Then, James had a go while dragging him along after John.
Then, Keamy pistol-whipped him at the Orchid.
Then, Desmond ****ing destroyed him after he shot Des and threatened Des' family.
Then, Sun knocked him the hell out with an oar at the 316 crash site.
Undoubtedly, more to come."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine
"The subject of onanism is inexhaustable." --Sigmund Freud
