Now the big question is, do we find the old lost thread and resurrect it or do we start a new one?
On lunch break right now, thoughts to follow, but herein will we hopeless nerds discuss the endless permutations of fate and destiny that affect our favorite heroes, villians, and hero-villians.

To me, the biggest question is Locke. Can I continue to like this character if it's not really him. My initial response would be NO.

Because “Lost,” which began its final season, can get awfully confusing, we've arranged some major events of the show’s first five seasons in chronological order.

Also, could we make it a policy to spoiler tag any information about episodes that haven't been shown yet. Any information about already aired episodes should be fine.

Juliet ****ing rules. If Lost has one major failing, it is that they kill off the wrong characters. I'd trade Kate for just about any of the people who have died, with the exceptions of Nikki, Paolo, and Shannon.
My prediction--whatever happened, happened. The bomb changes nothing. It does, however, create an alternative timeline that we have never seen before, that exists from 1977 up to 2004, when Desmond turns the key in the original timeline, reintegrating the disparate timelines, leaving no trace of the alternate. We will explore this alternate timeline a bit in Season Six, seeing what happens in the two (or so) months after 815 lands at LAX; somehow, the characters learn bits and pieces of what happened, and try to prevent original Des from reintegrating the timeline, but they fail.
That makes no sense in print, but perfect sense in my head.
