    a) He's being held by an Iraqi court in Iraq. The US is providing security

    b) Do you have a point, or are you just trying to make yourself look less silly?

It would probably improve the quality of this argument to no end if you would both calm down and stop the name-calling.

Now that I've got the nagging out of the way, I'm inclined to agree with KH. America's neighbors have historically not been keen to honor foreign contracts signifying "ownership" of a person, IIRC. The Underground Railroad and all that jazz. This is also a good deal more complicated than mere contract disputes; the man was basically acting as a law enforcement officer for a foreign country, on their turf, without their knowledge or consent, right? What country would take that sitting down?

Bull****. It would improve the quality of this "argument" if Texas didn't apparently give out free frontal lobotomies.

In most cases, yes, but said foreign national may file for asylum. We took in all sorts of people "illegally in the US for the sole purpose of evading the authorities back home." A lot of former Soviet physicists, for example. It's a case by case situation.
Well somehow I doubt Dog dabbles in being a bondsman for nuclear physicists.

Your government assisting our government is one thing. Do you turn a blind eye to private American citizens enforcing their laws in your country? I don't think the RCMP would be too thrilled to do that.
Chances are they would if they ever got out of the coffeeshop. I mean geez the US has to warn Canadian authorities of terrorists up here in Canada.

Hey, it's fine with me if they get shot while resisting arrest. Saves us a lot of time and paperwork.
Well I don't think they'd mind a few 'accidents' either.

                  Let me see.

The US would announce that they are keeping Saddam captive in Iraq.

That makes it a target for all his best buddies in Iraq and leads to the possibility that they could free him.

Wouldn't it be more intelligent to ship him out to the US and try him there?

Assuming that your lobotomy claim is true for the sake of argument, there is very little you can do to restore lobotomy patients over the internet. However, I assume that even lobotomy patients think more clearly when they're not being mocked. So my point remains: cessation of verbal abuse appears to be the best means of civilizing the argument. Booya!

This isn't really an argument. It's more of a sad demonstration of the effect of living in Texas on the intellect.
