    • Mrs. Tubes, wtf!?! You're not making any logical sense.

Lemme try and explain some things.

      1. The extradition treaties only protect Canadia and Mexican nationals from being extradited to face the death penalty, not Americans. So an American (unless he has duel citizenship) who flees faces extradition.

      2. This Max Factor guy was extradited to the U.S. The U.S. had not requested him yet, which is why Mexico didn't pick him up and send him back. An FBI was in Mexcio to pick him up when "the Dog" kidnapped the guy.

      3. Countries are sovreign, meaning they make their own rules and are beholden to the laws of no other country. This means that our police officers simply can't go to another country and arrest people (or vice-versa). There's a little thing called jurisdiction. That also means the bond that "the Dog" signed in the United States was invalid outside the United States.

      4. Treaties cover how excahnges of criminaols take place. For example, the U.S. and the U.K had an extradition treaty that didn't allow the U.S. to return people wanted for political crimes. So Joe Doherty, an IRA terrorist, sat in a U.S. prison for well over a decade (despite committing no crimes here-he was wanted in connection with a murder charge in the U.K.) before the treaty was changed

      • He didn't kidnap. The man works for a bail bondsman. He doesn't waste his time with a cowl and cape going around enforcing moral codes. He's in it for the money.

        • He detained someone against their will outside of his jurisdictional authority. That's kidnapping. Kidnapping for hire doesn't make him a better person, Sloww.

If Donegal went to Texas to arrest someone and take him back to Wisconsin, he'd be kidnapping to, because he doesn't have the legal authority under the laws of the great Republic of Texas, to detain anyone against their will, let alone transport them to another state, even if he has that authority to detain someone back in Janesville, WI.

          • You can't draw that comparison. Texas would hang him before Donegal even got here, unless Donegal was a quick mover. I don't know about you, but I don't think Donegal moves fast unless he has to. Not a slam, just an acknowledgement of resource management. Conserve that energy.

            • Cute, Sloww, but for the purposes of argument Che's got it. He said what I've been trying to say all this time, only more clearly.

              • You are in bad shape if Che's argument is more defined than yours.

The guy was convicted of felonies in Texas.
Let's expand this to Mexico's viewpoint of all things.
They're bandits, pure and simple. If they were concerned about crime, they'd have guards posted on THEIR side of the border to stop the influx of ILLEGAL entry. They want THEIR people to have rights to do what they want, as long as it's here. Something is wrong with that picture.

                • Yes, they would ideally want to keep the guy out themselves. How do you jump from that to "they should allow some freelancing foreigner to come in and grab the guy without their knowledge or approval?"

As long as we're looking at things from Mexico's perspective: we don't approve of the steady flow of illegal immigrants from Mexico, but we'd still flip if a bunch of mercenaries crossed the border from Tijuana and started a manhunt for illegals on our turf. If Mexico had wanted those illegals back, it was capable of coordinating its uniformed officers' efforts with INS. But in this example, they didn't. Mexico itself didn't do anything, just a group of private citizens hoping to earn money. Suppose even that Mexico subcontracts the job of hunting human traffickers out to armed civilians. Do those armed civilians automatically earn legitimacy in the US?

                  • Ok che let me make this more clear if i can.
The guy raped a lot of women including some in mexico. It was obvisouly no secret where the little rich ***** was
Mexico was not in any hurry to extrdict him the bounty hunters went after him and i am gonna say this very clear because the persn that secured the bond gave them the go ahead to retrieve him so as they do not have to pay the large bond he was out of jail on. They have to try to retrieve their bond by means given to them either by permission from the person that secured the bond or retrieving him.
And like i said before take the crimminals let them in ur country or state, if you want to protect them then by all means let them roam your streets and rape and kill yalls folks at least he is off our streets.

They have no legal right to do so in Mexico.

If I sign a contract in Kreplakistan (where such things are allowed) which permits you to kill me in exchange for a sum of money, then I change my mind and flee to the US (where such things aren't allowed) while you follow me there and kill me, then you will be charged with murder under US law. The existence of a Kreplakistani contract allowing you to kill me holds no legal power in the US. US courts have no responsibility to uphold what is, in the US, an illegal contract.

Rapist A had a US contract allowing agents of the bail bondsman to kidnap him. Mexico doesn't allow such contracts. Therefore, kidnapping him while in Mexico is going to be prosecuted as a straight kidnapping case under Mexican law.

If you still don't understand this, then you may as well put your brain up for sale, because it's obviously not doing you any good.

I never said i didnt understand it i said i dont agree with it. I dont see it as kidnapping they did their jobs and now must face the consequences.

But i have a better question along the same lines
Say you have a new car, you dont make the payments and the car gets repossed how is that not auto theft? The repo guys break in the car and steal it in the middle of the night. Not to mention they have been able to repo cars owned by us citizens in mexcio how is that not auto theft if mexico doesnt recgonize us contracts after alll a new car sale is a contract

                          • A person is not a car. Mexico does not recognize this contract signifying ownership of a human being, and even if it did it would resent some vigilante trying to take his "car" back by force inside its borders. If he wants the "car" back he can talk to the Mexican authorities. If they shrug him off, he can complain to the U.S. embassy or whoever. If he tries to jack the "car" in the middle of Acupulco or somewhere, the Mexican cops won't give a damn why he did it; they don't appreciate trouble on their turf.

And KH is insulting you because he's very, very frustrated and hence losing his temper.

                            • No he doesn't have the value of a car. He's a convicted felon, foundy guilty of raping 3 women. He's worthless.
                              Don't insult the car.
