I'm not sure what their reasoning was for that. If I had to guess, I'd say they had bigger fish to fry in their horribly corrupt country than some (at the time) nobody bounty hunter. When he later became famous, they resented this guy getting his big break by taking a leak on their national sovereignty, and cracked down. Rather petty and stupid, but they're within their rights AFAIK, and it doesn't change the fact that Dog screwed up.

As a matter of fact it can elok if u are awoken by ur car be towed, or driven away, people have run out there and been run down by the driver taking the car. The repo guy is never prosecuted even for running the owner down.

Okay, but is the violence allowed to be intrinsic to the act itself? E.g., can the repo guy walk up to you while you're fumbling with the ignition, pull the door open, hit you with a blackjack, throw you on your driveway and drive off with the car? What you're describing sounds like some less-than-ideally-bright people trying to stop a car by hopping in front of it or something. The repo guy isn't trying to hurt them or even touch them, they're just putting themselves in harm's way by acting without thinking.

Unless Dog managed to take this guy while he was conveniently under general anesthesia, he had to physically struggle with him. Even if, for the sake of argument, he were out like a light, it would still be problematic--because he would come to and find himself being held against his will, which has no counterpart in the car analogy. I suppose that's a gray area...sort of (the idea of considering human beings as mere "property," like a chair or a car--no matter what they've done--strikes me as depraved and monstrous), but I don't think we even have to go there.

And I believe someone else mentioned that the U.S. was arranging extradition around the time Dog made the arrest. If not, the Mexican gov't. didn't inform the U.S. of this guy's location, and Dog couldn't tell them and let them handle it because...?

it was just reported the mexican gvt wasnt gonna do jack about helping the us get this guy back. Dog from reports had it be made known the gvt wasnt doing a dam thing. if they had 5 months and did nothing those months then i can see why he says im geting him.
The repo guy has hit folks going after their cars to keep it from being taken. I know about this and bring it up because my family was and is in to selling used cars. they hire repo men and these men come back with descriptive stories. Though this was a few years back and i have nothing to do with that side of the family any longer doesnt make it right. My whole point of that theory is that the mexican gvt pickes and chooses what contracts from an outside country they want to honor. And on ur same wave length mexcio has known about this for 3 freaking years and they couldnt get dog then cause of why????? Its not liek they didnt know where he was. My guess is after the guy make millions then take his millions casue he made them look like a bunch of fools
