I don't call my porn data, but I agree with you.

actually my music is more important to me than my porn. I reguarly listen to music, but hardly ever watch porn.

I guess I'm old school. I like my save games to be in program files/civ2/ saves etc.

But I'm getting used to them being in my documents. I guess the reason they are there is so you don't accidently delete them. Or when you uninstall the game it can clear the entire folder from program files, and leave the saves in my documents.

Overall it's playable. No less, no more. It's still far from being fun. The OC is actually pretty good, even though that's in the eye of the beholder. But me likes.

By the way - powergamer's dream - your character can have 4 classes now!
4 classes ehh. time for a powergamers debate.

How is 4 classes any good? I can see no point in having more than 2 (and that is stretching it). Usually just one class and a prestige class.

The interface definitely takes getting used to. I'm just leaving West Harbour, and I *think* I'm getting the hang of it.

Haven't had any crashes though. In fact, my low-end (for this game) system is doing "ok" at 1024x768 with most stuff turned off/down. Game still looks good even with the settings really low.

Well you're right in terms of build concepts, but not in terms of powergamery. Expect more than a few 37/1/1/1 or 28/10/1/1 builds.

              • Ok - these camera controls are just downright FRUSTRATING.

Why oh why would a SEQUEL not have at very least the OPTION to use controls that mirrored those of the original game? Stupid.

Yeah I always hated those druid/monk builds. I can't remember how it went. I think it was monk 19/druid 1. Or was it the other way around?

it's annoying seeing only 1 level in something.

                  • Spike, what is your l33t mage build for WOW?

serious question. Not intended as a thread jack.
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

                    • 1 level of some classes can really improve your character.

Take 1 level of monk. It gives +2 to fortitude, reflex and will, Cleave without having to take Power Attack, and Evasion. The latter is especially interesting for an archer or a DEX oriented fighter, as a plate fighter usually doesn't have a reflex save worth a damn.

1 level of fighter gives access to all armor classes, to all (except exotic) weapons and shields, especially tower shields, which aren't covered with the "Shield" feat anymore, but need an extra "Tower shield" feat, in exchange for the buff up from +3 AC to +4 AC. It also gives you +10 HPs, which is interesting for low HP melee classes like rogues and melee bards. Finally it gives you an extra feat.

1 level of shadow dancer gives you hide in plain sight. Which, although having been nerfed (and right so!) is still powerful, if only to escape an unpleasant situation.

1 level of wizard makes you an arcane caster and thus lets you use scrolls and wands up to a certain level without having to take a crapload of UMD points (as rogue or bard). It lets you also use some pretty nice robes, for classes with an obscenely high DEX (which isn't that easy to achieve anymore, btw).

2 levels of barbarian give you Uncanny dodge, again a great feat for a DEX fighter, and +10% move speed.

3 levels of paladin give access to armor, weapons and shields like the fighter (except tower shields), adds the charisma bonus to all saves, makes immune to fear, gives all allies within 10ft +4 saves against fear and makes immune to all diseases. Attractive choose for a bard (alignment shift necessary - the so called bardadin), a diplo rogue and perhaps a sorceror.

4 levels of fighter still give you access to weapon specialization (a +2 damage to every hit!) and 3 extra feats.

Gone is the 2 weapons fighting feat, that came with 1 level of ranger. It takes 2 levels now instead, but it is easier to take just the Two Weapons Fighting feat yourself, as it has been made easier by removing the Ambidexterity feat from 3.0. 1 level of ranger still gives you a favored enemy. Take undead for instance, and you have +1 attack and 1+ damage in every crypt or graveyard.

There are more examples on how one or only few levels of certain classes can greatly boost your character. Just watch out for that XP penalty.

By the way, from what I see, the level cap seems to be down to 20 (not certain, but this way it looks).

                      • Oh, by the way, gone is the opportunity to take level 17 or 37 as only wizard level just to give you +20 or +40 spellcraft with saved up skill points. You can't save up more than 5 points anymore. By the way, what bonus spellcraft gives is uncertain, the manual and the in-game info are ambiguous. One says it gives +1 saves against spells every 5 ranks (as it was in 3.0), the other says every 10 ranks. Hard to confirm, and I really hate to hang out in the forums too much to make this clear.

How is that not a threadjack?

But of course I can't resist answering - I levelled with almost pure fire talents (with some arcane). Open with pyroblast, fireball, fire blast then stun with frost nova. You can then fireball and blast should have recharged. Stay away from mobs with stun as you will die. Mobs that tend to resist fire spells are also not recommended as levelling fast basically depends on taking on even or +1 mobs (some cases +2 is fine) and killing them before they can hit you much.

Early on health potions are cheap and save you a lot of deaths. Mana shield and blink also own for when you need to make a 'strategic retreat'.

Nowadays (since the last talent update) you can spec more in frost because there is a talent that helps crits for all elemental spells.
