9) Please do me a favor and go bankrupt, Atari, so Take2 can get the NWN franchise. They did a damn good job with Civ4, with great support too. Vanish without a trace, and the world will be a better place.
That's pretty funny seeing as I (and most ATI users) couldn't run Civ4 out of the box. If it's the post-release support they are talking about, that has excellent so far on the part of Obsidian.
Honestly, I'm getting really tired of the idiots on gaming forums that do nothing but "rant" and ***** when games are released. There just are not that many issues with the game, and most have been fixed in the 1.03 patch. Then again, the majority of the problems are probably between the keyboard and the chair.

Well, I broke down and bought it after my system just squeaked by minimum. (from a test from some web site recommended).
It runs a little choppy with medium settings, but i'm still tweaking the graphics settings. I have hope for the 1.03 patch, I hear good things from it.
Given my graphics card, geforce 6200 128MB and an AMD 2200+ athlon w/768MB RAM, i'd say i'm doing pretty good..
The funny part is that I have been reading the official forums and I noticed that people with systems FAR above mine are having problems as well.
Anyway, I would have been more than happy to play with the original NWN style graphics, but I guess we must march on.
While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.
oh, and as far as I can tell so far, the game seems like a great time to play.
It is just puzzling to see how some games can have 3D graphics that run well on my system, yet others (that look no better) seem to need so much power.
What is it that some companies know that others don't?

The game itself is good. I am having a blast. And the 1.03 patch runs smooth. If you are able to install it.
What is horrible is the customer service. I don't have any response to my three weeks old ticket (except the automatically generated "we received... blah... will contact you shortly... blah..."). I don't even have a ticket number to put into a reminder, let alone a solution. I phoned the support line, was put on a loop for over five minutes (which cost me money per minute by the way) and was finally cut without even having spoken to anyone. I countlessly offered to help in investigation of the bugs. I was friendly and cooperative in the first week, annoyed in the second and went hostile in the third. That's how things work. Atari is the worst pile of greedy and incompetent *******s this world has ever seen. Paris belongs nuked just for them.
I've played this for one eight hour session so far with my friends. It's been fun, we just made it to Neverwinter. The interface is still pretty clumsy compared to NWN, there are a lot of bugs (but no game breakers yet) and I don't think there's been that much improvement altogether, but it's still a good game.
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!
Spike, if you really want to make informed comment on this game then I'll lend you my copy. PM me your new address, and I'll eventually get around to sending you the game to play until I get a computer it will work on.
