Exactly. Republicans want to keep people stupid so they can have more voters.

Meanwhile the Republicans say it's not a big deal since they will not allow the department of education to waste funds on such frivolous and wasteful things like new notebooks....
I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!

Trickle down economics lol. Kids can't even sit in class.

I think schools in developing countries, such as Ecuador (where I once lived) are better stocked than this.

          • Remember when the 1965 Grammy awards gave "Best Song" to "The Girl from Impanema", putting The Beatles as "Best New Group" winners only? Better than I Want to Hold Your Hand, She Loves You, A Hard Day's Night, I Feel Fine, even I Saw Her Standing There? Really?

Remember how Stephen Spielberg couldn't even buy an Oscar, which got to be so embarrassing for the Academy that they awarded him the Irving J. Thalberg award for producing in 1986

A list of Spielberg production credits:

            https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stev...rg_filmography

(Remember, for this award only keep in mind his body of production work prior to 1987.)

Remember how the Oscars finally gave Scorsese a "Best Director" award for The Departed which might be among his 10 best films? (Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Alice, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, King of Comedy, Gangs of NY, Age of Innocence, and Last Temptation of Christ are arguably better.)

That's how I feel about the James Woods thing. Yeah, the specific post wasn't the worst thing that deplorable piece of **** ever posted... not even in the top-50. But for his whole body of work, he had to be recognized sometime.

            • Long before Kavanaugh was born, at a hearing in Washington on June 9, 1954, Joseph Welch, a lawyer representing the U.S. Army finally confronted Joe McCarthy on national television.

Welch offered a statement that ended McCarthy’s career.

“Until this moment, Senator, I think I never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness,” Welch said. “… You have done enough. Have you no sense of decency?”

It was indecent then. It is indecent now.

It was reckless then. It is reckless now.

Sen. Feinstein, have you no sense of decency?

John Kass is a douche. As a Tribune subscriber, I have to look at his thought farts on a daily basis.
It's a travesty that they give this guy page 3.

            • A crapshoot Op/ed. Unlike McCarthy, Feinstein has proof and a valid testimony.

And the gall of the idiot who wrote that piece. Trump is engaging in McCarthyism.

If this was a democrat President trying to appoint a liberal leaning justice, you would call for heads to roll. You are such a disgusting hypocrite.

Wait, does this mean that Kids get their books FROM the school and don't have to buy them on their own?

That surely is one of these communist/socialist things that the GOP wants to get rid of

Or, as any true Trfumpist would say:

                • Haha. He has a calender. Wow.

The calendars show, according to the person working for his confirmation, that he was out of town much of the summer at the beach or away with his parents. When he was at home, the calendars list his basketball games, movie outings, football workouts and college interviews. A few parties are mentioned but include names of friends other than those identified by Dr. Blasey.

                  • Devin Nunes is so busy committing obstruction of justice and misusing campaign funds, that he has forgot his constituents.

Andrew Janz is rapidly gaining more recognition in the district. And is within single digits in the farming heavy district. Democrats are suddenly taking more notice over the central valley.

Nunes, an eight-term incumbent who chairs the House Intelligence Committee, may be starting to lose some support due to distractions, including his involvement in the Trump-Russia investigation.

Nunes has come under ethics questions over the misuse of campaign funds (sound familiar?). He spent $15,000 of campaign money on Boston Celtic tickets and another $40,000 on trips to Vegas.

Could Nunes be indicted the same way Duncan Hunter was? It could happen. I recall the FEC was investigating him.

Education should be for profit they think. Anything to cut corners. Plus they need a big supply of morons, like kid, to keep voting for them.

                      • Lol, the number of underaged drinking parties put on teenagers calendars in the history of the United States approaches zero.

                        12.8 - SAT Prep
12.9 - GETTING WASTED AT GREG'S (no raping though - that would be WRONG!)
12.10 - Church, work 10-4, Sex with Cindy (think I can get her sister to join us?)
