yes it was certainly charitable of the school to offer someone who knows nothing about history a job as a history teacher. it just a shame that it had to come at the cost of some children's education.

I have no right to rob those richer than I am to fund my desire to help others. If I want to help them the answer is simple, get off my ass and help them.

help others? you mean by having poor people receive less than before, with the difference going to banks. you know, what you've defended in this thread.

Anyone can give to private charity anytime they want. Demonstrably it has never been enough.

That's what folks don't get and don't understand. You can get a long way with just 20 dollars if you manage it right. It's not an easy living, but hell it's not the end of the world. My nominal budget even now runs on that. And I've never had a problem budget wise in years because of it.
You're not a parent, and you never will be. TANF isn't for you. Whether you can get by on 20 dollars a day (which is not what people typically get from TANF if you had actually read the OP. The OP said $400 a month. Please don't respond to my threads in the future if you won't even read the OP) is irrelevant because you don't have to care for children.

Well, ok, how does that differ from my point that 20/day is a substantial benefit? We're just quibbling over price, not principle.

And government benefits are? Why do we still have poor people?

Ok, let's get this on the record. Are you accusing me of lying about my grandmother?

You mad bro? They pay me and I'm sure that pisses you off more than anything else.

I mean just what I said, I don't rob other people and force them to pay for stuff I want. If I want to help someone, (and btw, the poor are people, not a collective), I help them. I think Jesus had a thing or two to say about that.

Yes, because I think that American benefits should go to Americans. That obviously makes me a horrible racist.

The whole point in TANF is to improve the welfare of impoverished families and you think they shouldn't complain if they're forced to give up a significant portion of the money in ATM fees...?

I fixed that for you. And if 5 dollars a day is significant, why is 20 a day insignificant? Would go a long way to cutting out the massive fraud.

                                1. TANF doesn't have massive fraud.
                                2. TANF recipients don't typically receive "20 a day".
