I would not consider it to be pre-judice, because it would occur after the incident. Prejudice would come before, but I'm guessing a lot of what you refer to as prejudice is really people who have had bad experiences and then taken the rational conclusions from them.

There's some truth in the aphorism that a conservative is a liberal who's been mugged. I guess you can say some of my upbringing gave me little love for that, but coming out of high school I was actually pretty liberal. Even on here, my first year or so I was in the muddled middle. That changed though. Part of that was Poly's doing.
