WHERE DID YOU GET THE BIZARRE IDEA THAT A REUSABLE BAG THAT HAS BEEN WASHED IN A WASHING MACHINE WITH SOAP AND WATER IS A SALMONELLA HAZARD?
The fact that CDC recommends using a plastic bag to contain the juices rather than even risking contamination? Seriously - preventation is all about making sure you don't mix stuff up, rather than doing stuff in a way that will eventually lead to cross contamination over time. What if you forget?

I love the strawman. Reusable bags are bad because of raw meat? ... which comes in its own self-contained package?

      dafuq?

He's so retarded, it's not even funny. It's just sad.

Yes, meat leaks and drips in warm weather when the meat heats up and the juices seep through the plastic.

            Unbelievable thread.

            1. The proposed law will only restrict future fast food joints, so Ben's precious neighborhood Whataburger appears safe.

            2. Ben actually restructured the trunk of his car rather than go with reuseable bags. So he uses no bags at all. That sounds like behavior modification beyond any nanny state's wildest dreams!

BTW, my family will soon be entering our second decade of using reuseable bags for our groceries. No salmonella yet. Guess we're just incredibly lucky...

Yeah, and you can keep your plan if you like it.

As in, "put a set a shelves in it for ease of moving trays in and out".

I'm guessing you wrap the meat in plastic bags. I'd be shocked if you didn't. Or maybe you don't buy much fresh meat, and mostly frozen?

Ben, you're a ****ing moron on so many levels it's not ****ing true!!!
Yeah, it is true, and it does happen, and the CDC warns against it by taking proper precautions, the exact precautions that I listed here. So what's the beef?

People grumble when I post stuff when I don't provide documentation, and now they grouse when I do.

In all my years of using reusable bags, all the scenarios you've mentioned have never once occurred!
It has to me, I've seen it and it makes sense to me.

I mean I don't know where to begin on the absurdity of your claims...
You should write a letter to the CDC then.

But hey, it paints a picture of you trying it once by buying some loose meat from the counter and literally just chucking it in your bag and then leaving it in the heat of your car for hours on end or whatever. In fact I simply can't imagine a scenario where I'd be as stupid as you, full stop.
Have you been in Texas in July?

If this isn't a troll and you truly believe this bull****, then it proves an insight into the retarded nature of your existence and the Beniverse as a whole - thanks for the entertainment, you sad meaty stain on humanity...
Again, I'd love to see you try to bring home a tub of ice cream at 3pm on a Friday afternoon in July here in TX.

Yeah, they will. You put two on and you're good to go. Try it sometime.

Since his diet consists entirely of meat and he insists on using plastic bags for meat he has no use for reusable bags.

Strawmen R Us called and said your card was declined.

If there were actual demand for reusable bags, they wouldn't have to ban plastic ones.

If he really cared about proper meat storage, he'd be advocating wax paper not plastic.

BK also doesn't strike me as someone who would know a good piece of meat.
