Always put raw meats into a disposable plastic bag before putting them in a reusable bag.

A disposable plastic bag helps contain any juices that drip off of raw meat packages, which can touch other foods and contaminate them. Disposable plastic bags are usually available in the raw meat or produce areas of your store.

Throw away disposable plastic bags used for raw meat immediately after use. Never reuse bags that contained raw meat or poultry.

I asked for one, and was laughed at then by the store manager. But after the owner did inventory that year and looked at the numbers, nobody was laughing. He saved more on inventory that one year than paying me fulltime for the year to keep things in order. I ended up leaving because my dad passed on and because I didn't really need to be there full time when 2 hours a week on maintenance was enough once the store was done. So he just added that onto my manager's job.

Yeah, here and in Canada' it's usually just a bit of plastic wrap over the top. Real easy for leaks to happen, when the meat gets warm and the juices soak through the wrap.

Is it really such a big convenience for your fat ass if you have to drive a little further to get to McDonald's? Or Whataburger. A mediocre burger chain that Ben only likes because it originated in Texas

It's intrusive, ineffectual and irritating. And yes, I will be sad if the neighbourhood whatburger closes because of it.
