Wow... we've been over this before... There is nothing inherently Christian about Palestine. First the Hittites and Egyptians battled over it... the Hebrews came in and defeated the Canaanites... The Hebrews themselves were then conquered by Babylon... The Persians then came in... Alexander's Greeks conquered... Then his successors battled over the region... the Hebrews got their independence briefly but Rome asserted domination although the Palmyrans controlled the region for a little while... Somewhere along the line, Romans became Christian but the Persians smacked the Byzantines around a bit and took the area and Heraclitus had to reconquer it... Then the Bedouins come roaring out of the desert and take it.
