Also, as far as I recall, once the fight with the judoka went to the ground, it was basically over, as it ended in a guillotine choke from the guard a couple of minutes in. Apparently, easy to execute techniques = most effective. Additionally, as this was a controlled environment, we agreed to no striking, takedowns/throws/grappling only.

You may not have risen above blue belt in one form, but I'd wager your overall training was not far off from someone who dedicated themselves to Judo. What can and does happen is that if you succeed in defeating someone of higher rank than you in a tournament that you will gain their belt. So take that into consideration wrt to training time. It doesn't take 20 years to reach black belt. It takes about 3 years if you are diligent.

That wasn't my whole point, of course. Since I sometimes forget you don't use your critical thinking skills, allow me to specify my entire point.

Judo is not an effective combat system. It's a sport. I base that on personal experience with judo opponents and multiple other systems, both sport and more combat oriented. I also base that on the fact that you don't see pure judo practitioners anywhere in the MMA world. While one might be able to argue that Judo could be effective in a street fight, that person isn't you, since you don't have any experience using judo as self defense.

I just happen to have a fetish for strong, independent, driven women in general, and achieving a position of authority and responsibility (e.g. cop, soldieress, boss, judge, etc.) just happens to overlap with those characteristics a great deal. It's not that complicated.

Also, I think Asher lacks a solid understanding of why a straight guy might be turned on by a female cop (shocking, I know). Sure, some men will be turned on by the idea of being submissive to a dominant female, but it's also a turn-on to be the dominant individual in a pairing with a non-submissive female. Strong women are a greater challenge and it's far more satisfying to D.E.N.N.I.S. them than it is to dominate some submissive rag doll.
