      .

I want a bully to be my president. What I don't want is a weakling put in office by a group of bullies who aren't accountable for their actions and lead the "president" around on strings.

My ideal president is of someone who only deals with foreign policy and very few domestic issues, not a realistic idea of course, and I want someone who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty.

I didn't know that. Are you sure you mean Mrs. Obama and not Mrs. McCain?

edit: I see, my paragraph structure was poor, I meant that I don't care for Michelle Obama. Cindy McCain, despite her drug use etc, she is basically a nonentity for this election, which is how I think it should be (including Bill)

The sentence before it was about McCain, so I thought you were referring to Ms. McCain. As far as I know Ms. Obama's health is tip-top.

edit: now seeing your edit, gotcha. Not only is she a non-entity as far as the politics go, but she's made public statements that first ladies ought to stay in the background. As much as it might piss off feminists for sounding overly "submissive," she's right insofar as there shouldn't be distraction from the actual policymakers.

Clinton loaned her campaign $6.4 million out of her pocket over the past month to try to keep pace with Obama, including $1.4 million in the past week, aides said.

Could Hillary supporters be smoothed over if she were given the Vice Presidency? On the other hand, would that kill the democratic ticket by bringing out the Republican Anti-Hillary vote?

I would be shocked if Hillary would accept a VP slot. I fully expect a reassuringly bland but experienced white-haired guy to fill that role.

They have to offer it to her, and there will be strong pressure on her to accept.

An older woman I know who is originally from Texas is a Republican through-and-through and she has said a few times that herself, as well as her friends who are Republicans say they will vote for Obama over McCain if Obama wins the Democratic nomination.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

I too see that it is basically over for Hillary. Even though I am a Hillary Clinton supporter, when Barack Obama wins the nomination, I will tow the party line and vote for him then come November.

(I still wish there would be an Obama-Clinton ticket though. )

The end? If only... I'll vote for McCain over either, thanks. I wonder if there's anything good on the TV channels not blathering nonstop election coverage?

Well back in December (I think) when people were still talking about the Guilliani vs. Clinton matchup I predicted Obama over McCain by five points and I'm sticking to that

Just look at how badly the dems have been stomping the repubs in the special elections, the fundraising and in turnout (back when the Republican primary was still competitive). The deck is very stacked against the Republicans and McCain isn't going to be able to overcome that and Obama isn't going be stupid enough to piss that all away.

Once the Clinton supporters get over Clinton losing you'll start seeing SOLID Obama margins in the national polls. But then if McCain wins and Roe v. Wade gets overturned because of the actions of feminists the irony will be delicious enough that I won't mind too much
