And i do say this with ease if ur gonna have sex limit ur partners and make sure they are all under 18 if not ur parents can charge them with statutory rape. Yep, it doesn't even matter whether you report it or not. If someone say the police or whomever sees the two of you it's just as much as if you went to the police yourself and said you were raped.

You are putting your boyfriends at risk of going to jail b'etor, maybe that doesn't matter to you, but I don't think it's very fair to them to lie about your age when if your parents ever found out what was going on would be sure to file for statutory rape.

I would think not being allowed to date means you aren't allowed to go out and sleep with guys you meet either. If you had any respect for that rule I doubt you'd be sleeping with folks.

Oh goodie Remember this thread when your 15 yo is doing what you agree with and by the way her parents still control her life till she is 18. Even in her state her parents can find her incompteneet to handle her affairs and put her away till she is not a minor. I dont care what the books say. That's the point. Perhaps Ozzie would like to nitpick but the fact is he doesn't believe that there is anything wrong with a 21 year old sleeping with a 16 year old. Or for that matter a 50 year old. It's all about youth rights.

Parents have the responsibility to care for their minor children, and the law should respect this responsibility by encouraging them to be involved in their kids life. Instead it seems folks here want to undermine parental authority whenever possible.

You might want to stop putting words in other people's mouths. All Mrs. T said is that it isn't a good thing for teenagers to be having sex while they are minors and living under their parent's roof.

Now you are entitled to disagree, but I think Mrs. T figures that the punishment of an incurable std would be far more punishment then a jail term ever could be.

Or rather you are ok and supportive of her parents having that option.

As a parent herself I'm sure Mrs. T just wants to make sure her kids are well looked after. Rather then having the law and other folks undermine what she is trying to teach her kids, I think she'd like a little bit of support in setting a high standard for her own kids.

I don't see why you are so hostile to a mom who cares about young kids far more then you and your 'youth organisation' ever would be. There is a reason why there are rules that limit these things, they are there to protect kids not lock them in jail.

Maybe we should make her wear a burka and stay in the house unless escorted at all times too

This is pretty stupid - all of us random strangers who live hundreds of miles from this girl trying to decide what's best for her life.

Regardless of the law, regardless of her level of maturity, regardless of the perceived wisdom of her actions, we don't know anything about b etor. We don't know if she really has thorough enough mental processes to make good decisions about sex. We don't know if she's being used or if she's the one doing the using. We don't know why she's not able to communicate such things with her parents and why they disallow her to date.

We don't know anything about her, and yet we're still willing to conclude that she either can or cannot have sex. As if our words have any meaning. This is pretty stupid. She either is or is not smart enough to make good decisions about sex, and we're not going to find out on an internet forum. The only people that can really know are the people closest to her - friends and family and such.

If we should give b etor any advice at all (which I'll note she hasn't once solicited from us) it should be to have good, long conversations about her sex life with the people she cares about and listens to. They're the only people that will know her well enough to have an idea of what's right for her. It's a shame her parents don't seem to fall into that category, but that's the way it is sometimes.
