        AH, yes.

Harrison Ford sure looks old and dishevled, doesn't he?

Ah Polanski wins the Best Director award. Could the Pianist shock the world in the Best Picture catagory?

I don't know whether to be happy for Polanski or sad for Scorcese...

          It's certainly looking like it.

              Calista has high demands.

Nicole Kidman got best actress? The local media wrote her off.

Its just a plot to lure Polanski to the United States so he can be arrested.

"I'd like to thank Steven Spielburg. Why? Because it can't hurt."

Steve Martin did a GREAT job!

I'm a Steve Martin fan too - I might even watch the show just for his gags.

                          And the Mike Moore thing....

Steve Martin was pretty funny. His sense of humor works well for this type of event.

                              Best Speech : Adrian Brody

Best Line of the Show : Steve Martin "Its a touching scene backstage. The teamsters are helping Michael Moore into the trunk of his limousine."

Its also obvious the other best Documentary nominees had never seen a Mike Moore film, or they would have been on their guard !

The problem with Mikey is that he's the only one who's there who isn't being celebrated for being fictitious, and he misses the larger purpose of the event, which is to lose touch with reality for a while.
When Moore gets on stage he's going to talk politics.

His films are political, his books are political and everything about the man is political.

Good for him. He knew it wasn't going to be popular with the live audience (not necessarily the message...but the stage he chose for it) and he did it anyway.

He's in the right, and it doesn't really matter who booed and who clapped. He's proven himself as a steady voice for an ideal with this act, in my mind.
