Oscars: follow the show

I was rooting for Gangs of New York, but I knew it was a long shot. I just can't see how a film that violent could win any awards.

It is sad that Scorcese may never win an award.

And don't get me started on Polanski. What that guy did was terrible. But I guess it doesn't affect his filmaking. Perhaps raping young girls improves one's artistic vision.

I'm all for movie stars protesting, declaiming, and so forth, but why spoil something that is nothing more than a celebration of commercialism?

Michael Moore is very popular in Sweden. I also like him, even though I don't share all his opinions. Humourous documentary TV is a much better way to show your point than doing like the morons who throw rocks at the police or thrash McDonalds restaurants.

Yeah, Oscars are crap. Why didn't Man without past win? Because they're from Finland! That's right! The Academy is just bunch of no good racists and I will punch them in their stomachs when I see them.

Godfather, Godfather 2, Chinatown, Ben Hur - for there day were all very violent.

I saw all the best picture nominees & wasn't surprised by the results at all. In fact, this is the first time in about 20 years that I can't take issue with any of the choices.

Yes times were different then. I say this because Saving Private Ryan didn't win. Or did it? I'm pretty sure it didn't. And of course Kubrick never got one.

You know, the Oscars are pretty boring. I'm not a porn fan but I'd much rather see the Porn awards televised for two reasons.

1) It would be a scream.

2) You get a better class of people at the porno awards show.
