I like the guy who told them to stop playing the music so he could carry on talking. I didn't know they could do that

Adrien Brody just showed us all how to effectively make a point. What a great statement and well deserving of the standing ovation...

Adrien Brody just won Best actor for the Pianist (he deserves it) and gave Halley Berry a French Kiss. Best Oscar night gift...ever!
he also stopped the music to give another leftist speech, but got a much more receptive response. Like if you couldnt see that coming...

actually i meant it to red_jon and troll.

Oh and you seem to respect adrien brody just because you agree with his statement. Just because you agree with someone, does it make a great statement? I mean you can respect someone for voicing his opinion even if you totally disagree. Thats all I wanted to point out. and with that i dont want to go on with this.

The Oscars aren't the time or place for politics.

I'm glad to see that punk Moore get booed off the stage by the most liberal collection of people in America, this side of the Communist Party. I bet plenty of them booed because that wasn't the time nor place to make a political point. **** Michael Moore!

yeah but adriene brody didnt get booed cause he's the best actor

Have you noticed the best actor syndrome? Its kinda like J.A.P (jewish american princess) syndrome, but for guys. I heard russel crowe had a syndrome like that last year as well.

I respect Brody and his statement because of the way in which he delivered it. He understood what kind of statement would be appropriate for the situation and delivered it with an air of dignity that Michael Moore will never be able to emulate. You should humbly speak your piece, not grandstand and shove it down other people's throats...

Oh give me a break Imran. They are mostly a bunch of bourgeois actors with a few million in the bank who support fashionable causes just to look good. Hardly liberals.

Hollywood is run by right wing Republicans. That's why there are so many films that support a hawkish US foreign policy.

You should have read my first post carefully. I clearly said what I liked about Moore's speech was the way he delivered it. No bullsh!t. No dancing around needless formality. It was clear and concise. It may have been something I totally disagreed on and found ludicrous but nevertheless, his attempt at making a clear message.

Has no-one pointed out that Communists are not liberals? Socialists can be liberal, but by definition Communists are authoritarian.

And I agree with AH on the Hollywood stance.
