and it can be someone whos knowledge of French is sketchy, a la (in the style of) the Lost in Translation thread.

Also we can all translate every common english phrase of French origin into English, to tease the mods, a la (in the style of) my sentence above. that could be boocoo (loads of) fun.

I think that the key to learning is having fun while doing it. And learning with people that you know. I'm afraid having someone translating something someone else has written will be a drag as well.

In my opinion the ideal way would be to have a free flow of french. We have fun, we make mistakes, we correct them by reading each other's posts etc
We practice in a fun effortless way with people we know.

That way little by little and without it becoming a drag we would ameliorate our french. But since it's against forum's rules...

Still if someone would like to take on that task of translating what another one wrote... but I doubt it, or I doubt it will last.

Why don't I supply the babel fish translation?

That could be good for a few laughs.

Figured it worked better as a post and not a link.

Tu n'as pas à écrire "je" avec une majuscule. Mais n'oublie pas, tous les mots qui commences une phrase prennent une majuscule

You don't have to capitalize "Je", but don't forget you have to capitalize the word beginning a sentence

I'm happy. I've been trying to learn how to read French for one of my requirements and I managed to get most of this without having to resort to a dictionary.
