Since we heard leaderhead art is a big cost to Firaxis, all they need do is animate a few headshots of Vin, there's a process for this. (If they can get "Spock" they can get anybody.)

No word on facial hair, but Vin usually shaves his head in his movies.
Heh, they wouldn't even need to get Vin. Just extract the model that Riddick game from last year (which had a really accurate Vin Diesel) and then add a moustache or something and claim it's original art.

    • Didn't know there was a Riddick game. Good idea!

At least, that's what any two-bit scenario maker would do...

Stalin's crimes were far worse but were not uncovered to the western world during his lifetime (or even immediately after it). Hitler's crimes were widely publicized and he has become the archetype for demonic villains.

However, I think it is a double standard to rule him out when you include the likes of Stalin and Mao. Stalin killed as many Jews as Hitler and even more of his own people. Mao killed countless thousands of Chinese innocents.

I personally don't have a problem with including any of these dictators (they're quite fun to kill), but some people would take offense apparently (at least as far as Political Correctness goes).
Just my thoughts. Once Stalin is in the game, there is no reason to leave Hitler out. In fact, it would be worst to leave Hitler out of the game, because that would show some kind of doble judgement criteria.

IMHO Political Correctness is respect to each other beliefs and ideas gone wrong. There is no reason why Hitler could not be included without being fully respectful to everybody. And on the other hand, isn't it respectful to give someone who hates him the chance to beat him in a game? That's what I plan to do to Stalin

Even more! This should be in the official Warlords webpage

Do you see how much fun we are missing for trying to be politically correct?

My sentiments exactly. Though we do already have a whole thread on the Hitler/Stalin debate which was locked for getting too far afield.

Yeah, I was in on that discussion and I don't think the moderators are going to let it get started again. The big problem I think they had is that there were way too many continuous comments and some of them reflected very strong feelings; people on both sides of the issue were getting sort of testy with each other and not really getting anywhere because nobody knew whether and under what conditions, Firaxis would include a Hitler character. Other issues, such as who had the "worst" massacre under Hitler/Stalin/Mao/Genghis Khan, etc., further muddled the discussion.

I don't think we'd be allowed to start it again and I don't think you'd really want to. Actual thread is still posted here:

I concur. Let's try to steer this thread back to Warlords, as that's what it was stickied for in the first place.

Well, Solver and Locutus have very astutely kept their mouths shut on the subject. I am anticipating the announcement of the civs at E3 in a month.

We know Carthage, Celts and Vikings are in, and if the other 3 are not from the following list, I will be greatly surprised.

                        Babylonians
                        Ottoman Turks
                        Mayans
                        Koreans
                        Zulus
