Looks like Jacob Cawley has gutted his last "fish".

After the death of our poor attendent bludgeoned with the fishing lead, all eyes turned to our Wharfsman, Jacob Cawley, who was thrown overboard to sleep with the fishes. As I combed the room for clues, I found a small solar cell on the floor. I wondered what a wharfsman would ever need to use such a device?

The only trouble is that the evidence is all circumstantial. Sure he could have easily hefted the fishing lead, but there is no evidence that he in fact did so.

I only have to suspect that the killer still remains at large.

As I walked out of the room with the body of the attendent, I saw David holding Jane's hand as he sat by her. Jane is still sedated until she has had adequate time to recover from the shocking death of her sister. I cannot help but notice how tenderly he holds her hand, as though he cannot bear to be without her touch.

Hopefully they shall both escape this nightmare intact.

As a contrast, we have the couple of Becky and Bob Horgan. Bob, after losing the bid accused Becky of cheating on her and the two got very loud and very angry. Becky stormed off angrily after shouting how insulted that she was that her husband would ever accuse her of such a disgusting act.

As I continue to make my rounds around the boat I managed to overhear a loud argument between Dan Fitzgerald the bartender and Luke Halpin, our camerman. He was ordering a large pint of the finest scotch whisky as he boasted of putting one over the hapless rich folks. Since he still had the negatives, it would be simple to continue the blackmail as long as possible.

Dan grew more and more furious and finally grabbed Luke by the scruff of his collar and shoved him off his seat in the bar. He had faithfully served many of these ladies and gentlemen for years for low pay and here this scumbag of a cameraman was taking advantage of these same folks who had hired him so long ago. He had been snubbed and generally ignored, so he would be damned if he took such an attitude from the cameraman.

After I intervened to split up the fight, I heard Maurice boast about how everyone on the boat was going to die before the folks got their act together. And that was just fine with him since the folks on the boat would finally get what they had deserved.

As the party continued I decided to go for a walk to inspect the deck and take in more of the fine sea air. I invited Dave to come out with me, and take a break from his vigil over Jane.

No sooner did I leave did a cry shout out. As Dan opened up one of his cupboards he found the lazy waiter he had been looking for.

Jose Baramunde was dead, bludgeoned by a fishing lead and stuffed into a closet. Stuffed with him was a transaction notice.
