Favre is an upgrade, but trading Jacksons is a mirror-image downgrade, and I have no confidence that Brett won't fade as he did last year. Further, I prefer to carry one TE and two QBs, and your offer sticks me with three of each.

Ryan Grant for FJax and Farve sticks you with 3 TEs?

I wasn't aware Shaun Hill counted as a full QB.

That's OK by me. My brother set up a small league this year that I absolutely hate. No WR/RB at all. 2 WR, 2 RB and a TE.
I'm in the lead, but that doesn't stop me from not liking the format.

Big Tuna week 8 predictions.

Did not have a good week last week. Went 3-4. 29-20

1. BK (3) vs Koya (9).

A matchup I've been dreading. I'm not convinced by any of the WRs on Koyas squad. The RBs are surprisingly equal, with Choice = Wells and LT = Slaton. Both of us have had our difficulties, and I don't think Koya's are going to end here. Just too many good matchups, with the Chargers against an Oakland squad at home. Despite the projections, I don't think this one will be close. BK

2. Guynemer (7) vs Duke O York (14)

Impressive win by Guynemer last week is likely to lead to another. Kerry Collins is your QB? Good night, and that will be game. Guynemer in a blowout. Guy

3. Jag (5) vs JRabbit (13)

Some interesting matchups here. Forte vs Cleveland and SJax vs Detroit. It will be a big match for the studs. Jag has an interesting strategy, targetting the Titans pass D, with Sims-Walker and Torry Holt. Will Gerrard be able to take advantage? I don't like the matchups that JRabbit has. Baltimore, Minnesota, Green Bay, and Indy? As good as his WRs, I don't think the matchup favours JRabbit here. This one will be really close, but I think Jag can pull out a win. Jag.

4. EPW (2) vs Spaced Cowboy (8).

Finally a matchup I've personally been waiting for. This is the first time I'm going to pick EPW. Curse of death I know. I haven't been impressed by Spaced Cowboy's team, and I've thought he was overrated every week, and got punished for it last week. Isn't going to happen this time. EPW wins to go 6-2, and keep his 2 seed.

5. Tuberski (12) vs Snoopy (10)

On paper this should be a closer matchup. The amazing trade with Slowwy makes Snoopy that much better. Pierre Thomas gives him a 10 point advantage in the flex. Of interest is to see Jamal Lewis starting for Tuberski. I hope he does well! Would be nice to see my number 7 pick vindicated. Snoopy in a blowout again.

6. Zopper (4) vs Berz (6)

Brees vs. Manning, but it's not going to come down to the QB? Who's going to bust this one out? Ray Rice. Berz doesn't have the RBs to get back all the points that Ray Rice will rack up this week. His WRs are nowhere near good enough either, but the TE does help Berz get some back on offense, but it's not going to be enough. Zopper.

7. Slowwy (1) vs DDD (11)

Yes, I know this is Slowwy's bye week. Ryan Fitzpatrick over Sanchez? Addai and Kevin Smith vs. AP and Ricky? Amendola for an amazing 11 points? I haven't gone wrong yet by picking Slowwy, and I really wish DDD had someone better than Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB. I'm going to call this one for Slowwy, because I don't believe he's got enough of a lead. 10 points? Sure. But 5? Nowhere near enough to bury Slowwy. Slowwy squeaks out his bye week to go 7-0.

Calamitous Intent(7) vs. The Priapic Love WoW(14)
Not much to say here-The Priapic Love WoW has Kerry Collins starting at QB. If the PLW manage a change before the game-they will probably do no better than Jake Delhomme, a recipe for disaster. Calamitous Intent has a few good match ups, and it should be more than enough for the win. Calamitous Intent wins 140-65.

Mountain Goats(5) vs. Vicious Rabbits(12)
This will be the closest game of the week and a critical game for both teams.
I think the Rabbits are starting a slightly better team with slightly better match ups, which may give him the victory, but it could go either way.
Vicious Rabbits win 125-115.

Forte's Firemen(10) vs. Hairball Express(13)
Both teams desperately need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Yahoo projects a solid victory for the firemen, but it will not be so. Rodgers and Thomas are going to have made weeks, and no one else will pick them up. The Hairball Express will get big games out of Eli and Roy Williams, and will cruise to their third victory. Hairball Express wins 165-95.


Dallas Dwarf Tossers(1) vs. Detroit Deity Duo(11)
The Dallas Dwarf Tossers appear vulnerable this week with a slew of bye weeks. And they are. DDD has a number of favorable match ups (Addai and Smith for instance) and it has the potential to be a blow out. However, the Dwarf Tossers have shown remarkable spunk this season and they could make the game interesting. DDD wins 135-120.


Jedibolts(3) vs. Deviations(9)
It's hard to see the Chargers performing poorly against the Raiders at home, and this should help give the Jedibolts their 6th win. The only thing BK has to worry about is his players being benched early in the game as an act of mercy. Jedibolts win 170-120

Belichick Magnets(4) vs. Topeka Twisters(6)
Big games by both team's QBs will make this a high scoring match up. Big day's by Boldin and Bradshaw will put the Twisters over the top, along with a poor outing by Andre Johnson. Topeka Twisters win 180-160


GAME OF THE WEEK:

Teh Peeled Bananas(2) vs. Da Boyz(5)
Da Boyz has a lot going for them this week: Romo, Williams, and Barber could all have big weeks. However, their WR situation is not so good: Jones, Northcut, and Gage. This weakness will allow the Teh Peeled Bananas, who has all but one starter playing this week, to win their 4th straight by a safe margin. Teh Peeled Bananas 180-145

I really wish DDD had someone better than Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB.

I do too. At the beginning of the season I looked to see who was projected to be the best available QB in week 8 (Brady's bye week) and it was Stafford vs. a weak St. Louis team. So I picked him up just for this game and sure enough he gets hurt.

I lose this and I am definitely out of it so ironically my entire season depends on a QB I picked up this week as a free agent. Somehow I am actually projected to win this week by about 6 points but I am not feeling too comfortable.
