Went I went to check waivers for a TE I wasn't really worried, until I saw what was there, which was slim pickings.

Until Cooley's injury, I was fine with the team the way it was. I wasn't looking to move anyone and certainly not a RB. Ben, you're correct in saying that a RB is a valuable commodity.
I just couldn't mentally accept having what was essentially a blank spot at TE.

Wow, that would be a dumb trade for you. SJax has significant value above the average RB. LT doesn't, as far as I can tell...

Heck, I'd offer Hightower for SJax, at least, and consider coupling it with a RB for WR exchange if you wanted ...

Lets see. Farve would start as your QB. Farve is better than my starter. FJax is better than any of your other RBs. Both are starting calibre. Same as Shiancoe.

How about SJax for LT?

No, sorry. LT not on the trading block. I would love to have SJax, but I'd have to ask for another player if you wanted LT.

Any other players you are interested in that aren't Chargers?

trades and motives aint so obvious, I remember being thanked several times this past spring/summer by managers who thought I was screwing up by trading or dropping players like Uggla and Martin. How'd it work out boys?

I explained Uggla just didn't help my weaknesses like SB. Yeah, he hits HRs, and thats about it - I had plenty of HR hitters who also stole bases without hurting other cats. I hated dumping Martin but I had 3 catchers and 1 was Sandoval, and he was my starter the whole way. Neither Uggla or Martin ever heated up and both ended worse than last year I think.

anyway, Favre for McGahee looks bad on paper

but for a team with 3 decent QBs and in need of a flex RB in a 14 man league, it dont look so bad.

The LT offer wasn't legit, Snoopy. I was just highlighting Ben's unwillingness to trade his own starting talent.

I'm too thin at RB to give up one of my two load backs while getting no starting RB in return.

Take away Fred Jackson's 3-week run as a starter and tell me he's a starter in this league. He's about as valuable as Bell at this point -- no better than a handcuff, getting 10 or fewer touches/game.

I've got two backs that can legitimately expect 20+ touches every week. The fact that they're not finding the end zone regularly does not diminish that fact.

As I stated, my trotting out Steven Jackson's name was just to highlight the fact that Ben will never offer one of his precious Bolts (not even the underperforming, aging and oft-injured LT) in a fair trade. Or in this case, one that would favor him. My point has been made.

In case you haven't noticed, I've started Fred Jackson since I traded explicitly for him. Farve has outpointed Rivers, and would start on your team. Those are 2 legit starters.

I'm looking for a solid RB2, I'm happy to stick with who I've got, but there are a few RBs I'd really like to have. Ryan Grant is one of them.

I'm not in this to fatten you up for a playoff run. If this is all you've got, go phishing elsewhere. As I said, when you have a serious proposal, feel free to contact me.

Of course I wouldn't offer one of my precious Bolts. I have a total mancrush for PR, I love AG, VJ and LT. Have I ever claimed otherwise?

Everyone else is on the trade block. I would like an upgrade at RB2, and will consider any non-Charger on my team.

I don't doubt that you are serious. But I don't take the offer seriously. FredJax has very limited upside, and Shiancoe is worthless to me. Favre is an upgrade, but trading Jacksons is a mirror-image downgrade, and I have no confidence that Brett won't fade as he did last year. Further, I prefer to carry one TE and two QBs, and your offer sticks me with three of each.

You aren't interested, that's fine. I'll deal with someone else.
