Given a choice of a backup QB or a backup TE, the QB is much more meaningful. In fact, I was negotiating with EPW for one of his QBs prior to the Favre trade, but didn't have a spare RB for him. Ironically, if that trade had happened, this one would not have been offered.

God my DST league team is terrible. It's case in point for why you draft a RB in the first two rounds, I guess... though I could easily have won 2 or 3 games with more intelligent decisions.

Ben, the problem you don't seem to get is that trades are only meaningful in context. Pierre Thomas for Celek, or Kyle Orton for Olsen, are only good trades because Sloww and EPW needed TEs, and JR needed a backup QB (well, needs a starting QB, but nevermind). They are very good trades, however... You offered Shiancoe to both JR and I, when we both had two TEs who were of equivalent quality. I doubt I'd have accepted ANY trade for Shiancoe, unless I thought that I could turn him around for better than I got to someone else. He simply didn't have any value to me, and neither did he to JR (obviously). Both of the trades for TEs that did go through are great examples of what a trade should be: filling a need for both managers.

Uh, Farve and Shiancoe have consistantly outpointed my "starters" of Rivers and Gates. Jackson also starts for me.

I offered 3 starters for Ryan Grant. I think that's pretty fair, but whatever. Your decision.

I just find it funny. But I guess it's better to be swapping your backup TE and backup QB for a backup QB, given your rationale. Anyways, I hope it works out for you!

I offered to EPW, Shiancoe + Farve + FJax for Ronnie Brown.

I would have asked for another RB, but he had no one else who would work.

What could he give me for Shiancoe? A backup WR, who's worse than the 4 I already have? An RB, who would sit behind Bell + Beanie + FJax?

It would be nice to pull a trade off, but I guess everyone thinks I have cooties or something.

He did offer me McGahee for Shiancoe though which I thought was funny. I'm not giving up the number 7 TE for an RB who wasn't starting for me in the first place.
