Kavanaugh was much older (well, 2 years are much at this age) ... dunno about his family, but perhaps they were rich and respected.
Also Kavanauigh was a jock and therefore surely himself high on the social ladder at this time.

Yeah, surely very surprising that a 15 year old girl under these circumstances had a large disincentive to tell anyone (including her parents) what happened
    (hint: it is not)

Especially in a culture where often "boys will be boys" still is an excuse for almost every misdemeanor

Only a frickin lunatic would think someone would leave their friend to get raped, and this is not even an issue with her after 36 years.

Only someone with a lack of empathy would think that in such a situation (narrowly escaped a rape) the victim would think absolutely logical (and would not just show a flight reaction ... bringing herself out of the same building with the would-be rapists, out of fear that they would try to complete what they started as soon as they saw her)

You are just as nasty as they are and you hate women.

Enjoy the severe losses in november.

Oh puh-lease. You are the one that keeps attacking the victim over and over again. You are just vile.

Kavanaugh was deceptive and extremely angry throughout. It was through that anger that he was hiding something.

He is grossly unfit to be a judge in any courtroom.

Based on that sworn written statement from the other accuser, I can say we should remove "possible" out of the equation.

                      • All Kavanaugh had to do was tell the truth and show a judicial temperament. For instance: "I don't remember any such incident, but if it happened, I'm glad it didn't go any further and I'm sorry. I made some bad decisions in high school, but I grew up, changed my ways, and stand on my record." Done.

Instead, he shows himself as a petulant, angry man of privilege, with prepared yet obvious lies about yearbook and calendar entries, lashing out at anyone who questions him and perjuring himself in the process. In my view, he has totally disqualified himself.

He certainly didn't act like a distinguished Supreme Court judge. Hell, even Clarence Thomas managed that.

Well... I think those standards went out the window for any government position in 2016.

                      • Republican senate staff prevented Deborah Ramirez from giving her own testimony. Republicans didn't want to hear it.

                          • People defend most passionately that which they are, or that which they self-identify as wanting to be.

Kid spends a lot of his time passionately defending sexual predators.

                            • Seems like there are clear indications that Kavanaugh, already in the past, was guilty of perjury:

So much for the argument by some republicans that "Oh, Kavanaugh made his statements under oath, so they must be true" (which always neglects the simple fact that Ford also made her statements under oath )
