Well, maybe in America it may count as "free speech" to harrass a mother, just becuse she is wearing a Hijab ... in most "normal" western countries however, free speech has its limits
(which usually are reached when you are threatening other people with your combination of speech and behavior)

Which is why, for example, in most european countries you also will find yourself in front of a court very fast, if you demand that jews should be gassed, or blacks should be shot.
AFAIK things that all are allowed expressions of free speech in the USA (smilarly the "demonstrations" of members of the WBC with signs celebrating the deaths of homosexuals)

I watched the speech she gave which got her arrested. I have also heard many anti-Trump liberals say worse. Madonna even said that she thought about blowing up the WH. Yet she is not arrested.

As I said, that is the USA ... you can say almost anything there without landing in front of a court, no matter how threatening or insulting it is ... you just have to point at the 1st amendment
Except maybe if you are muslim looking and talking in another language or joke about blowing something up ... guess then you can be glad if you just land before a court and not in Guantanamo, or are getting shot by a policeman right away (or by some rightwing "hero" who executes his 2nd amendment right to bear and use arms)

Also, if you are a rich white guy, you usually get away with more things than if you are a poor black person ... I am sure that, for example, Brock Turner, had he been black and son of a middle or lower class family, would still sit in prison for his rape of an intoxicated girl.
I am also sure that Trump, without his rich parents, would have been able to evade the military draft so easily (but instead had been forced to serve in Vietnam, just like Trumps favorite bullying victim Mc Caine

The fact that the positions of the federal judges are appointed by the ruling president and senate (and not by some independent institution), and that their appointment is for a lifetime (and not for a couple of years) also don't help to increase my confidence in the american justice system.
(just look at the current candidate picked by Trump ... Brett Talley ... he is not independent (married to a WH lawyer (something he didn't disclose by himself, so he also is dishonest)), has never tried a case and is deemed unqualified by the American Bar Federation for the position of a judge ... nevertheless, if the GOP Senators decide as Trump wants, he will be appointed federal judge ... and then he will be in this position for the next 30-40 years (maybe even longer))
