You are lying once again. I am for regulations and cracking down on corporate abuse. I have am issue with excessive profits while kids still go hungry in this country. Sit in your ****ing ivory tower, *******.

How would one determine whether profit is 'excessive'?

Look at other countries like Sweden. Anything excessive is taxed heavily.

In addition, are you fine with child labor? All for profits right?

I didn't know loving your neighbor was conditional on them loving you, but you've just put gays in the role of the KKK and Nazis while comparing their Catholic tormentors to their black and Jewish victims

That's like arguing, "how tall do you have to be a basketball player", and giving me a picture of Jordan. That doesn't actually answer the question. How do we know that Sweden has it right?

Ben endorses child labor. He refuses to address the subject. This idiot has said enough to bury himself for a lifetime.

Someone can actually read. Also, you should probably actually answer the question.

                • Ben says we can never regulate or question a business. So why have child labor laws? Or any form of law protecting people from working in sweatshops? Why should we say anything if a business forces employees to work 14 hour days?

Ben truly is full of bull****.

So he is fine with a nine year old being forced into 14 hour days making five cents an hour.

                      Answers it all.

The bible endorses child labor and slavery after all.

All good questions. Why have a minimum wage? I don't believe that a minimum wage does anything to help workers. The reason it's there is to help union scale workers, nothing more, nothing less. Minimum wage actually took more jobs away from blacks and other minorities than just about any other law out there.

Working 14 hours, a day, health and safety regulations - should there be a law saying that someone could not work a 14 hour day if they wanted to? I've worked a few - entirely legal at the time - got no OT. You do what you have to do to get the job done.

The reason for the laws, is to protect the worker, I get that. However, the regulations all have loopholes, which allows the businesses to actually function. If any business tried to follow all the labor laws in operating their businesses all the time, many would go under.

As for child labor laws - I've worked since I was 11. "Child labor" notwithstanding. No child would work unless their parents dumped them off there. I can see some parents doing that but the way you deal with that is to arrest the parents.

I'm not a libertarian, Gian. I can see the rationales behind some of the labor laws on the books, but the real world is very different. Child labor is one thing, but you have people fiddling with the definition of a 'child' making them older and older to the detriment of the older children, specifically. 12 is a fine limit.

As for laws concerning working hours. I think that a good business will keep their workers. Working them extra long will increase their turnover and people are not that productive that late into the day. Averaging 8 rather than a cap would work better, it would give people more flexibility. I'd rather work 3 12 hour days than the 8 a day, but labor regulations make that expensive.

                        • You are an idiot if you believe any of that. I will say that right to the point. You are for economic slavery. Your kind is the most dangerous to the workers and to the people. You deluded into thinking you are advocating for the good of worker. Liar.

You are vile and your views are reprehensible and disgusting.

Anyone who thinks taking away minimum wage laws would help, is moronic.
