  • Maybe if you attended services sometime you would realize that they also can enrich the lives of all people regardless of race, gender, religion or sexuality. And many people get nothing out of museums, who are you to judge that one is good and one is bad?

People do not have to attend universities in the US nor non-government schools, and if you really want to not attend a government school you can generally arrange to do so.

I am not focused on Christianity, although you all seem to be.

I support all religions, including Islam and Hinduism.

Your bigotry seems to know no bound.

Sure, anyone can come in and be enriched by hearing stories about a belief system they don't believe a word of. Sounds legit.

People usually have to attend school, although I accept that some people are permitted to psychologically abuse their children with homeschooling in the US.

Sure, it's a complete coincidence that you only ever get emotional here when its a thread about Christianity.

Sure, anyone who resents having to pay for your pastor's holiday island is just a mean bigot. Don't you Christians ever get tired of playing the pathetic victim, especially considering you're the vast majority in the worlds most powerful country?

I will end repeating Kentonio... So I will ask... How are people getting their lives enriched at a church? Museums are places of learning. Churches aren't.

Of course. But you get more out of attending a university. So what?

What bigotry? Point out the bigotry. I want to see where it is. Exact quotes would be helpful.

        • Ming - the difference between homosexual marriage and Catholic teaching on divorce is that homosexual marriage, is that homosexual marriage is wrong because sodomy in and of itself is wrong. There isn't an instance in which it would be right. Two, divorced people having sex with each other aren't indulging in adultery. If when they married, they weren't Catholic, they are not bound to Catholic rules surrounding marriage and divorce.

Plenty of people do. Just because you're a secularist doesn't mean that Churches are not a place of learning.

His bigotry is shining once again. For everyone to see. Homosexuality is not wrong and love is not wrong. And sodomy? Is that all you can think about?

Same sex marriage is morally right and acceptable. Love is love and the hate you show on here is repugnant.

I wasn't talking to you. If you want to see some bigotry look at you. You Christian fundamentalists never cease to amaze with your self victimization. You honestly think you are the victim? Not surprising. And total bull****.

Homeschooled children generally outperform their peers on the SATs.

                      • I was mocking your notion that the government organizations should be taxed (or at least churches not be treated differently). Glad to see you think your own idea is outright dumb.
Your idea of taxing the collection plate is just as silly. For the same reason.

                        • This is the interesting question with regards to the catholic church ... what happens with all the money they receive.
After all, the catholic church also has its own state, who owns banks and other things

So how much of the earned money of the bishoprics goes into financing that state?
Uh, you are aware that the agreement with the Vatican was due compensation for the state of Italy taking property away from the Church?

                          • You overstate how much anyone cares. if your school went private and pays tax then excellent, that's exactly how it should work. If the Catholic church want to show prejudice against citizens of certain sexual persuation or religious belief (or lack of it) however, they should also have to pay taxes like everyone else. Otherwise its just wanting to have your cake and eat it.
It will probably happen because like any good secularist, you'll try to cram Oberfell down our throats, and force us to pay for contraception which is why Obama went to court with the Nuns.

Personally I think it will be a breath of fresh air when we get Catholic schools that are independent. You'll probably try to strip accreditation from every school that does reject your 'handouts', though.

Nobody gives a ****. The church has antiquated views on sexuality and does nothing when kids get molested by Priests.
