That *is* statistically significant. A 6 percent increase in the suicide rate would be considered statistically significant. This isn't an artifact of the study, Gian. This is a very real result.

And you ignore my point about Sweden. Also the study concludes that the suicide rate jumped up 10 years in. That doesn't suggest an exterior cause. If you were right that a more accommodating society were the cause, we'd see the peak suicide rate peak and then taper off over time. We do not.

Why would I be ok with bodily mutilation? The Church is pretty clear that the body is important because the body as it is is a gift from God. So no, it wouldn't get a pass.
