My problem is it sounds like a hackneyed Hollywood kidnapping plot, not the action of a group that fashions themselves the legitimate government of Afghanistan. I mean, seriously, it sounds like a kidnapper saying "don't get the cops involved, or its curtains!" Having the negotiations out in the open would have given them an air of legitimacy, it makes no sense at all from their end. All those times the Israelis did a prisoner swap, did the Palestinians demand secrecy!?No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

and he used the $$$ to fund terrorists in Central AmericaOliver North on Tuesday criticized the Obama administration's deal for "hostage" Bowe Bergdahl as helping "a criminal enterprise that kills Americans." That's Oliver North, architect of the illegal plan to sell Iran missiles in hopes that they'd secure the release of U.S. hostages in Lebanon.

Bush put the terrorists in jail. He didn't negotiate for their release.Just think. If this were the Bush administration, the story would be "MURICA HERO FREEDOMS HIS WAY TO VICTORY"... followed by the terror alert being raised and instructions for everyone to be "vigilant".Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Two months before the exchange of POWs John McCain said he supported a POW exchange (and the only American POW was Bergdahl) and even attempted to slag Obama for not doing an exchange sooner. Now... Well, now, the two faced **** is claiming the POW exchange was just the worst thing ever. **** John McCain.Originally posted by MrFun View Post
It reminds me how McCain spent a year whining about how the US hadn't attacked Libya and then the second Obama actually did what McCain said he wanted McCain flipped a 180 and cried about the intervention in Libya being the worst thing ever. The man has no shame nor does his party.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

War crimes due to their part in the Taliban government so as I said, bad men, but still POWs. No one contests this, not even you.Originally posted by DinoDoc View PostAll 5 of them were closely allied with al Qaeda before their detention and one of them is currently wanted by the UN for war crimes.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.
