Yeah, because Boomers were really great at having large families.
Hey, come back when you've had a few. Or even tried for that matter.
Making fun of a whole generation for not doing something you haven't done yet is typical of your whiny generation.

I really thought BK might have something too say concerning a fellow educators teaching methods.
Are you saying I'd be qualified to assess the technical merit of a lap dance?

I am really surprised by his silence on the subject. All I got was "Texas, Land of the Free." By the way, Texas was a part of Mexico when the Star Spangled Banner was written
Yes, and? Blacks were free in Texas. Slavery was banned in Texas in 1829.

and you should go back to Canada with your distortion of U.S. History and divisive politics.
Slavery was banned in Canada too in 1829. Why wasn't it banned in the 'land of the free'?

The difference is that birthrates have leveled off. You don't have a massive cohort followed by a tiny one. This fact is going to dominate most of the West for the next 20 years or so. I'm actually surprised China et al haven't made their move already, because it's too late for them.

the whole ageing population thing is blown out of all proportion. historically, worker productivity has always more than covered the changing worker/pensioner ratio. this looks unlikely to change, and simply means that living standards will rise a little more slowly than they otherwise would, with more of society's resources (or rather, a higher percentage of new resources) being diverted to the elderly.

                It's a disaster.
We need to keep breeding until there's 100+ billion humans on the planet.
After that... we just need to send one or two billion humans a year into space to keep the population stable.

When did we have a demographic situation like this?

When have we ever been in a situation where this even approached 2:1? That has never happened before.

Since 1973, in real terms, wages for men have stagnated. Wages for women have stagnated over the last 10 years or so. This is all before taxes. Sure, diverting resources to the elderly can be done for awhile, but what's going to eventually happen is that the well is going to run dry.

It's already happening. Look at the debt ratios for the US at an all-time high. Even with the increased productivity, it's jumped from around 40 percent to closer to 120. Current public spending rates are unsustainable and that was before Obamacare.

Like I said, you distort, change or outright lie when it comes to U.S. history. You should not be teaching if you are going to spread false information.

No matter when the song was written or even when slavery was abolished...The Star Spangled Banner is the national anthem of the United States and should not be distorted by the likes of you.

As I said before, you don't understand Texas, Texans, America or Americans. You are a pretender.

By the Way, I have been to Canada. It is a lovely place. The people are wonderful and streets are clean.

The only reasons I want you too leave is because Canada gave birth to you so you should be there problem. Just like Justin Bieber.

Agreed. Vancouver is stunningly beautiful. Victoria isn't half bad either.

Not in where I was living. Of course I lived on the east side of Vancouver, streets filled with trash.

I was born less than 20 miles from the US border. I am actually 1/4 American.
