It's possible I'm gonna need this thread like whoa in the very near future. Today is the last day of class and the deadline for me to turn in my leave of absence form. I haven't turned it in yet because I'm waiting to register for class. If I don't register for class before I turn in the form, then I have to wait until after I am officially reinstated before I can register, and that process may take weeks or months. In the meantime, the classes I want to take in the fall are filling up.

But before I can register, I have to meet with an advisor. And so far I've been unable to get in contact with an advisor. I went to the advising department and was told I had to send an email to the department to make an appointment. I sent an email and got no response. I talked to the Assistant Dean of my particular college, and she sent an email to the advising department on my behalf, but so far nothing has come back. All of this is making it look like I won't be able to register before I take my leave of absence.

And as of today, Astronomy 120 is full. This is the gateway class for the astronomy major. There are no other astronomy courses you can take until you take this one, and it's only offered during the fall. If I can't get into this class, then I have to wait an entire year before I can try again. So my collapse this semester is going to set me back a full year. Man, I sure know how to **** things up good.

I can waitlist, yeah, but it could be a loooong time before I can register, and the class is already full. So I'm thinking I'll be pretty far down the waitlist.
