      • If you don't give enough **** to look decent, how can you expect anyone to give a **** about you? I never understood this lack of desire to train your body, be well-groomed and clean cut, dress in nice well-kept clothes, and just in general exude that you are a confident, good-looking, capable guy who presents a marketable image. Every moment you spend in public is a moment of you selling yourself.

To not have that desire to be the best you you can be and have the world know it at a single glance is totally foreign to me. What is the point of even living such a mediocre life?

It is not just another way to live. It is a lazy careless way to live. Some people don't have issues with it but when you're distraught about your ****ty life and you wonder why, it all starts with how you take care of yourself and how you work to improve yourself.

Life is a market is one of the strongest truisms in the world. All human activity is economic activity. Even friendship is the trading of time and effort. We may not be conscious of it but when we do not want to be friends with someone, the American expression is usually he is not worth my time

            • And time is money.

I'm sure there are people who think like that.
              Their presence is tolerated.

Because one's worth isn't measured in his biceps or the suit he wears.

It actually kind of is. We can lie to ourselves by claiming the world is not superficial, but we will suffer for it.

But honestly it is not the biceps or the suit. It is what they represent. They represent self-assurance and self-improvement, a desire to better oneself and portray the best you possible to the world. Self-improvement is, in most circles, a laudable endeaver.

                          • I agree that self improvement is a laudable endeavor ( I assume this means, it's a commentable effort).
I just laugh about the symbols you think characterize such improvement.

Exactly when have I expressed surprise that others don't think I'm worth their time? I'm a depressed piece of **** who doesn't think anyone should have anything to do with me, yet my friends repeatedly tell me otherwise (which more or less proves your stupid theory wrong).

                              • Bereta elder, So what do you think about symbols like wearing wrinkled clothing, not shaving in weeks, not having a haircut in months, and wearing spiral notebook glasses? What do those symbols say?
