EBF's fiance: Well, even though I'm a hippy douchebag who's in touch with his feelings and wants everyone to just get along, I'm still gonna punch you in the face. You cool with that?

Try running through the situation again, but skipping the part where you tell him.

Then you need a remedial course in 'how to be a dick'. I've done it where I had someone who was an ex who never wants to speak with me again. And I did it so that it was all her idea, without actually saying anything mean to her at all.

It can be done, and I'm sure there's ways of getting EBF to cut off all ties. You just have to hit the right buttons.

You're right, something transparent like that wouldn't work. But, there are other ways.
