  • I don't reject the parable. It's a parable you simpleton.
So if you accept the parable, what's your issue then? We are called to make the best use of the talents that we do possess and have been given to us by God. Failing to make use of our talents is a sin. It's not enough just to avoid doing evil - we are called to do our best to help other people.

No doubt, but all you want to do is make money.

      • You cherry pick the bits that suit you, while ignoring the (embarrassingly obvious) overall message
And Jesus's overall message is, "**** the Rich"?

You yourself have stated that you don't have to believe in the parts of the bible that you don't like. Which is awfully convenient for you. Maybe you should write "the Gospel according to Kentonio". Don't forget the part where he smokes a spliff and hangs out with Bob Marley.

The rich do not carefully take care of societies resources for the good of all, they hoard them keeping them out of the hands of the more needy.
So why then are most of the Senators and Representatives rich?

You moron, it actually beggars belief that you're trying to argue that Jesus didn't advocate for the poor and despise the rich.
        He doesn't despise the rich.

You ignore every action in his life and pin your pathetic attempts at theology on a precise wording of a few parables.
So you're trying to insult a Catholic by arguing that I'm too biblically precise in my theology?

I wonder who would come last in a poll about which member showed the least honour and dignity? Want to guess?
I'll take "arrogance" for 500 Alex.

You think that bowing and scraping is the path to heaven? Yeah, you really don't get this christianity thing.
Absolutely I think that submission to Christ is an important part of becoming a believer.

I don't smoke dope, cretin. You're not just ignoring bits you don't like, you're butchering the entire message to mean something that is not only quite repulsive but also runs almost exactly contrary to the original intention. Your version of christianity is obscenely heretical.

Because America has a terribly broken political system where personal wealth greatly aids peoples entry to elected positions, and even worse enables people to get more rich once they are in office.

How does your lack of dignity or honour add up to arrogance on my part? I can't claim any credit for you being a dishonest, lying dickweed.

It's repulsive that Christ loves all his children, including the poor?

I bet you don't even believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the big guy in the sky either, that he was born of a Virgin, that he totally owned Zeus in lightning contests, etc..

Unlike in England I suppose, which has the entire House of Lords. I see. It seems to me that we do trust our betters, the rich and the wealthy to dictate decisions here in America more so than in the old country.

You left out homophobic. Oh and Jew-loving too. The holidays have really weakened your invectives.

That's not what you said. You said:

that Jesus didn't advocate for the poor and despise the rich.
You stated that you believed Jesus despised the rich. Which is entirely false.

                          Are you also anti-Semitic?
You hate the wealthy. A disproportionate number of wealthy people are Jews, so the natural association is that you are anti-semitic too, because you hate Jews more than any other race.

You tried to wiggle out of this. Not that it matters because you've failed miserably anyway. But if you can't do anything about your own sinful desire, how will you do anything about anyone else's?

Not at all, you can despise what someone has become without stopping loving them and trying to get them to redeem themselves. Tell me why Jesus exhorted his disciples to give up all their worldly possessions.

Of all the ridiculous conclusions you've ever tried to draw, that one has to be the most impressive. I'll have to assume it's a poor attempt at a troll, because if you were actually that stupid you'd never have managed to plug in your computer, let alone actually type words on it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you aren't an idiot because you quite obviously are, but not quite that stupid.

For the record, I don't hate the wealthy. I do hate rich people who refuse to contribute fairly to the society that enabled them to become rich, but that's a rather different matter.

                              • You tried to wiggle out of this.
You didn't understand the reference so I cited Romans 6, which provides the full quote.

Not that it matters because you've failed miserably anyway.
Somehow you interpreted my citation of Paul in Romans 6 as a statement that I never sin. How you arrived there is a mystery. You've obviously never read Romans.

You're a Christian now, Kidicious. You need to read Romans all the way through.

But if you can't do anything about your own sinful desire, how will you do anything about anyone else's?
                                Sooo much misunderstanding.

CHRIST changes people, Kidicious. It is CHRIST who provides forgiveness for our sins. It is not me who 'does anything about people's sinful desires', it is Christ. The only way you can overcome your sins is to turn to Christ.

Oh, and just FYI - Christ has forgiven me for plenty. I've always owned up to being a wretched sinner, which is the truth. That is why I need Christ in my life.
